Followed your directions to a tee using my own seasonings except I kept the smoked paprika, cayenne pepper and saizon. I didn’t have any bell peppers on hand so I used diced carrots and celery along with chopped green onions. The flavor is unbelievable in this dish and the cayenne pepper gives it a hint of heat that tickles the tongue in the most pleasant way. Delicious my bruh! The whole family raved about it. I made this tonight, delicious. I only had boneless, skinless chicken breast. I made sure I marinated in the fridge for an hour before cooking. I didn't have all the same spices so I used what I had. I also didn't have chicken bouillon, I used my better than bouillon vegetable. I will be making this recipe again.

Food Lion fo sho is pre-packed…the butchers are meatcutters now and that’s only if you want something cut specifically(that’s how my local store is). Chicken & Rice is a go-to in my crib. I try to change the rice up sometimes by adding veggies or I’ll stir fry it.

I personally score my chickens on both sides, so when I season it, I have more exposed meat that will also get seasoned. And by scoring the meat with the skin still on, the skin will naturally loosen on its own. This is true in my experience, at least, anyways.

I always make this with more vegetables. No chicken stock. That just makes the rice starchy. I fry my rice.
If you rinse your rice it’s a lot less starchy when you cook it.
