LONG AGO THE SPANISH FLU HAD A IMPACT LIKE TODAY. Your vids are nice, stay safe and wish you well
Cool video if you ever get back to Michigan I should take you to the kallamzoo air zoo a very cool airplane museum.
It's a shame to see how this place has downsized, but at least it is still open.
It has not down sized Kermit is and has increased his collection recently......its not " as" opened to the public as it used to be....other plans are in the works
Awesome old plane collection. My dad had a collection of pictures of old planes.👍😊💕
Ah man I love vintage aircraft!! Very cool place!!
Love it too buddy
thank you for sharing, this is a great way to travel in 2021 :D
Thanks for the tour!
Thanks for coming with me
I live a stone's throw away from this place & yet have never visited. My friend used to b the Ops Director & had dinner with Harrison Ford when he was there. Very cool video!
Its fantastic seeing those old planes in such great condition! Most videos show these kind of planes wrecked in some body of water somewhere...
Flipping fabulous video brilliant thankyou soooooo much Tampa stay safe ❤🙏♥️
all your museum visits are so choice!
Thank you !
Thank you for showing us this. loved it and finding out about some cool old planes :)
What a great place to be the museum is fantastic and the aircraft that's just simply amazing to touch. They do have one of the largest collections of F4U corsairs and a Marauder b26.
Nice video............ Looks like a cool place to go to. 👍👍👍👍👍
This is cool. We have a few aircraft museums near us. But unfortunately there all closed at the moment. Love seeing the old planes.
👍🏻thanks for sharing!
I passed by there many times and finally stopped in back in 2012 or 13. I have always been interested in flight or at least since I sat and watched the monkeys go up in the rockets. I was amazed, i saw there rebuild shop that would excite any wood worker. They also had cutaways of different engines including very complex radial engines. The theater tour was open and was very cool with WWII sounds, equipment, battle and a bomber under repair in the field with manikins hanging partially out of the plane with his legs moving as if he was working on it. You actually walked through the entire scene with the sounds and visuals of the war as close as it could be replicated. Always planed to return but before I could they closed to the public. I'm glad to see they are at least partially open now and will make an effort to return.
😳 Red Baron WOW 💥💯
My niece is learning how to fly a plane all by herself and she is doing great. By the way, classic car alert. They have some great planes in this museum for sure. Have a great day.
i guess Im randomly asking but does anybody know a trick to log back into an instagram account??
I stupidly forgot my password. I would love any tips you can give me!
@Hayden Bryce instablaster :)
@@haydenbryce3824 you need to say that you forgot your password and you can have an email sent to reset it.
Awesome video. Stay safe
Wow, what a great place to visit! I like places like this.
I believe that seaplane that you didn't have access to is a PBY Catalina. I love looking at all those old birds. Even the aircraft I flew is now in a museum. I think those signs at the end were saying, "There's much ahead."
Great Trip, Thx :-)
I'm planning on hitting this place hopefully this summer! I actually c=visited this museum when it was in South Florida Called Weeks Air Museum, before Hurricane Andrew caused so much damage Mr. Meeks moved it to its present location! Hopefully, you'll be back while He flies one of his planes! Great video! I do hope he opens up that old portion soon!
Awesome. Aviation museums are really interesting! So cool! Thanks buddy.
The one outside is a PBY Catalina, used in reconnaissance in the Pacific in WW2, Great video Dude!
What a brilliant place so jealous. We went to our plane museum my nephew layed on top of the plane with my brother inlaw in cockpit Daniel laying on the glass how Sue took photo it looked just like he was in the air holding on for dear life 😆also lucky to have Bovington tank museum near. There all closed at the minute just essential shopping.
I enjoyed the video Jay. 🙂👍
There was something very Pixar about the way those cows and little bird all walked away from you. Also, I want a Fokker shirt.
Haha those shirts were a hoot
Super cool Lovin it!
Thank you
Never knew you were such a "Aviation Enthusist" Jay! Excellent Video!!! :)
I wanted to be a pilot when I was a kid, ever since I watched Iron Eagle. Thank you Kevin
@@TampaJay Nice being back Jay ! :) How's that "Puppy" of yours doing?
Thanks for the Video.I was there many years ago. He had if I remember right a few simulators for flying.
The deal you thought was a machine gun "Red cover" is a pitot tube used to measure speed in a aircraft.
Great blog TJ, being a pilot myself I was there in the 90s really enjoyed your tour. Things have change since my visit. A big thumbs up for you!
Thanks Jerry I’m happy you enjoyed it. The place was fun wish I could have seen it in the 90s
Very nice!
Thanks Dave
As always Jay your videos are top notch thank you so much for sharing them with us.
Thank you John. You’re so awesome
I visited the "Fantasy of Flight" museum in December 2022. It is indeed a great collection of vintage and even reproduction aircraft such as their Gee-Bee racers. But to call it the "World's Greatest Vintage Collection" is perhaps a bit of a stretch. There are aviation museums throughout the world that have far larger collections of vintage aircraft. These include the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force at Dayton, OH, the U.S. Naval Air Museum at Pensacola, FL, the Polish Aviation Museum at Krakow, Poland and the Royal Air Force Museum in the United Kingdom.
Great footage and vlog!! Glad I found you! We are Florida UA-camrs here. You gained a new subscriber in us! We might see you down the road!
Morning TJ. Thanks for another great vlog, And congrat's on the over 23k subscribers. Love the Fantasy of Flight
Thanks Mike! Appreciate you buddy, I hope you have an awesome day
just awesome ! On the bucket list if I ever make it to Florida... my favorites right now are the Boeing Museum in Seattle and the San Diego Aerospace museum (although I was lucky enough to see it several times before the 1978 fire)
Great video man ! I love your pink panther shirt
Thanks Corey
We pass that all the time on the way to Busch Gardens...will def stop next time!
The Cadillac looks like a 1938 sixty special.
That’s awesome thanks buddy
We weren't sure if it was still open or not! We will definitely stop by! Will you be at Sun N Fun this year (the air show separate from the museum)?
Enjoyed your video. I went there in the 1990's and the other building housed a wonderful exhibit where you felt like you were in the trenches of WWI and then passed through a B-17 and other exhibits for WWII. Also there were flight simulators where you could dogfight each other. I went there several times with Civil Air Patrol Cadets in the 1990's and then around 2000 with my Mom, step-father and my son. We ate lunch at the snack bar there and it wasn't too bad. I wonder why they closed that area off? Kermit Weeks opened that museum when he relocated many of his planes from the Homestead area after several were damaged by Hurricane Andrew.
Thanks Jay...Fokker also allowed the guns to fire through the propeller arc with a special interupter gear... British aircraft had their guns mounted on the top wing, forcing the pilot to stand to fire at his enemies.
Your intro was hilarious and I made a video recently and mentioned you when I did my newest Pirate 🏴☠️ Matt congratulates Tampa Jay and Bay. I hope you will check it out sometime.
HEY, HEY, TAMPA JAY Really enjoyed this video yeah, the owner of the place Kermit weeks is an awesome individual he also has a UA-cam channel if you want to check it out ( Kermit weeks ) or ( fantasy a flight ) he fly's all the aircraft and show's all kind of cool stuff But Tampa jay your the Best at the qualities of VIDEOS you put out......... So to everyone Seeing this stay safe be good and God bless !!!!!!
Kermit weeks the owner of fantasy of flight has a youtube channel also
Kermit has bigger plans coming...stay tuned.
How do they have machine guns behind the propeller? Do they just hope the bullets go between them?
That’s a really good question
Thats a point im going to google now 😂
Let me know what it says. I'm to lazy to google it.
That was worked out by Germany during World War I. A mechanical synchronizer that I believe ran off the propeller shaft interrupted the machine guns from shooting when the prop blades passed directly in front of the guns.
Who would have given this a thumbs down? This was a awesome video and very well done by TJ.
5:48, Now I can see where #therazorcrest found it's inspiration from.
Wow it does resemble it
you want to see planes, go to pensicola
I hope u got that shirt
I should have haha maybe next time
how do you tell if it is a boy cow or a girl cow? it's either one or the udder!
Not one of the world's largest, it is the world's largest privately owned aircraft collection
Meeks?? There is nothing meek about the owner.
That’s a good one
The cows knew they are just French
Yo Jay, the black and yellow #4 reminds me of the one off the movie The Rocketeer. Love that movie!
The Gee Bee! I love the Rocketeer, too! Just watched a new movie locations video for it from Stanley Foss. :)
