Honestly if you want to, go for it! I've found that bleaching the color, and then putting Wella's T-18 toner on actually helps fade it a bit and turns it into a more faded purple, which is easy to dye over with my preferred hair color pallets. (Aka reds, blues, purples, and pinks)
Edit: I also wash it a lot after bleaching the color with this shampoo called Selsun Blue. It's a medical strength dandruff shampoo that my local Wal-Mart sells, and it does actually help fade that pink color before I go ahead and put the toner on my hair.
for me, I diluted it significantly because the pigment is so strong you really don’t need much at all. i diluted it to where it shows up as pastel neon pink on a peor towel so I knew what i was getting. after a while i got sick of the pink and dyed it over with iro iro purple. the purple already has pink stain in it but i found it helped transition the colour. then i put iro iro neon blue directly on top of the left over pink once the purple faded and the blue made the same shade of purple. then i noticed after a few months, about three, the iro iro pink is mostly faded entirely.
I used this same pink and I’ve went swimming, used a color remover, a bleach bath, and two toners and that pink is still there. I used t11 with 20 vol and I think it’s finally hidden enough
Lol..That pink just seems to be holding on to any pigment to stay. I'ts even morphing to red
Whatever pigment they used to make the pink def. has staying power. That'd probably be why. Wonder what one they used.. And what Mr Google has to say about it.

i just learned about this method in class this week(I'm a cosmetology student) and our teacher said applying it in foils and applying some sort of heat to it for 15 mins can help too

I had a permanent dark pink/magenta in my hair that would not budge or lighten up and the Schwarzkopf Colour Remover worked wonders on it, removed every speck of pink completely and my hair felt great after! I then applied a pastel pink and my mom was like "Why the heck are you removing pink to apply more pink?!" lol 😂 I just wanted a cute pastel pink moment for summer! 💕

im currently trying that method to remove black demipermanent hair dye and its kinda working for me, i used it a long time ago to remove purple and it worked super fine, that's a strange result you got there. hope u can fix it x💗

Just like the “Katie’s Fade treatment” method! Except hers used some oils in there too and heat. But what a strangeeee color result!! At least both sides are the same looking.. 🧐🤷🏻♀️🤨🥳
I think its just the way the bleach reacts with the darker types of blue? I dyed my hair blue which was supposed to be green but it ended up navyish blue and i had a clean light blonde underneath but when i did a bleach bath to remove i ended up with a rose gold/pink color and i still have no idea why
@@Ella_Marc that’s so funny you mentioned that! My husband had navy blue hair and when he got bored he let me bleach bath it.. it turned baby pink! It was so crazy! I’ve heard a lot of blues, when being bleached out, turn pinkish!

I think that that would be because in order to achieve a navy blue color there is some red added to it for that undertone of purple.

So this tip might not work for everyone but I am reckless with my hair I just do any and everything. But I find a toner/ hilift blonde dye can usually kick out color without trying. I've done it with every dye even iroiro even iroiro pink, I think diluting iroiro's pink really helped take away the potency, Even recently I had layered so many damn colors and I used Wella t15 and it became a nice pale blonde. But I say this with a warning. all hair works different
Your hair has grown out so much since you cut it short! It's crazy!
The only way I got rid of the IroIro pink without frying my hair, was by swimming as much as possible and throwing a green on top to neutralize it, that way I could at least have something else to work with other than that damn pink, but I know that’s not really an option with pastels. 😩

I started using iroiro exclusively after watching some of your videos and that STICKS in hair! I use purple and green mostly and the purple fades to such an incredible pastel lavender it's amazing! Best of luck getting to platinum 😍
Omgosh I've never seen anyone else do the bleach bath that way. I use it all the time when I've done the dreaded green or blue that decides to fade into a poopy colour. Love how real your videos are. Whether it works, f's up or is plain shite, you tell us how it is. Enjoy your weekend!!!!

It works like fuckin magic though. I got a bottle gifted to me by my school but I’ll never be able to use it on myself which is sad. If your hair is healthy or has only been lightened once you should be totally fine. But if you’ve got any kind of breakage or damage do not touch that shit.

I was planing to do a bleach bath and go pastel, but my last round of root touch up overlapped a wee bit in the back and a whole section got fried of, so now I am sticking to olaplex and bright colors. But ahhhh I want pastels so bad! The blue/teal/purple did inspire me so I have blue on the way to touch up my pinkish purple to a more blue and purple ombre.
I feel like this is the perfect opportunity to do sunset yellow/orange hair ☀️😍

This method is only effective if you scrub your hair every 5-10min. And you have to leave at least 40min to see a difference.
I usethis method often to avoid bleach based methods, and always does not fail on me. If I don't have bleach, I do the same thing with only shampoo with bicarbonate or only shampoo and still fades a lot!
But this result you had is pretty unusual

I used a charcoal bleach as the base to my bleach wash and it took most of neon pink out. Sally's also has unred packets that ive mixed with my bleach that's worked in the past with red semi permanent colors so maybe those would be worth a shot

My hair was pastel pink the guy tang striptease barely did anything to the color but what it did do is damage my hair. I always do a bleach bath with 10 vol and to take out my semi permanent colors and have 0 damage. I did it two weeks ago and I’ve used everything and still I get random strands coming out. I had a split dye and you can def feel the difference in the consistency.

You should try the Malibu system to get it out! We love it in the salon and have a lot of luck with it with even the most vivid of vivids with no damage!
I have the 70s pink iroiro dye I haven’t used yet. If ur willing to have a lighter shade then the bottle would diluting the first dye application with conditioner help the later removal process?

I swear to this color removal method, it would always get my hair back to a clean blonde base especially when i do pastels 😭 i also dont leave it in for more than 15 mins and just one session is enough and not as drying as baking soda method and bleach bath. Hey I have the blonde me and I’ve been using the 30 vol developer with some of the ion absolute color perfection olaplex dupe. My natural color is around a level 6/7. I lighten to a level 10ish, should I be using 20 volume instead? I heard you can leave it on for 30+ minutes with a cap and it’ll lighten as light as a 30/40 vol just takes longer
Do you think that would work after bleaching my roots and they only lifted to between 9-10 with alot of darker yellow; I have/want white white 10 (roots are just a bit too dark for toner and I don't wanna do another full round of bleach)

I'm hair always does this . A specially when I go to the hairdressers . So now I do it my self. It saves a lot of money to do it my self and frustration when i don't get the color I want. I'm one of the only ones who do bright hair.

Have you tried the swartzkopf color remover?Stella Cini has been using it for quite a while and ive tried it too on my hair and it works SO WELL!And it aint damaging AT ALL for some weird reason.

OK HEAR ME OUT 👀- Loreal HIGH LIFT highlights permanent color in RED & COPPER to cancel out all the greenish blue and LIFT a tiny bit? It would be very pretty for a few weeks and when the chlorine takes it out it might just take a lot of the greenish blue with it!

Could you not try a forest green colour over the red at the top to see if that counteracts? Then a neon green at the bottom

My hair is currently half light ash blonde, half silver blonde. How can fix this??
Backstory: i had my hair half brown- half dark blonde for like six months, then decided to go full light blonde, but i didnt make sure the sides where matching before i toned, so it was unmatching for like a month untill when i just did the roots and did a bleach bath on the darker side, then toned the problem side for for time, only toned the lighter side for 10 mins (i used Wella T14, so it wasn't even supposed to be silver) the problem side came out a perfect blonde, the the lighter side just soaked up way too much gray! Probably because its less healthy then my formally brown side.
I can't tone twice in a row right? How the hell am i supposed to get my sides to match? I like the gray shade but how do i duplicate it on the other side, if i dont even know why its so light?
