HOW TO RESTORE and REPURPOSE a Mid Century CHINA HUTCH || TRASH TO TREASURE furniture flip || DIY

In todays video i take the lower section of a mid century modern chine hutch from 1968 and fully restore it while adding a new modern base to the bottom. It was a very fun project and i was glad i was able to make this a piece of it own.

You can squirt some vinigar around anything that is glued with a syringe and let it set. It loosens up the glue & easier to remove.

That tip with the straight edge to determine leg placement is genius! As well as reusing the boards to make the base! I love how smooth the finish looks. Prior to starting your furniture refinishing, did you have any woodworking experience?

Pine.. Poplar would have some green tint to it.. Might seal coat with shellac before paint
