Wow guys the prices are crazy affordable. The foods look decent as well. Worthy efforts, but not better than DTF. IMO, no one's come close to being better than DTF. They are and still the GOAT!
Prince Dumplings menu is very similar to DTF, and their service is good - perhaps a bit more friendly than DTF. (Most Chinese restaurants are not know for their service, IMO.)
Looks like Americans have taken off with the Chinese dumpling craze....everyone, everywhere are eating them now. It's been our staple our entire life. Now the explosion of popularity.
Looks like they give you 10 vs. 6 XLB at DTF at a fraction of the cost. DTF is a "trendy" eatery, which comes with higher prices. Definitely not my take. I'd rather go to a local place and get the same thing at a fraction of the cost.
I went to Prince Dumpling just ok, not that special, can't compare with Din Tai Fung, the only one close to compete with Din Tai Fung is Paradise Dynasty in South Costa Mesa, they are in same mall with Din Tai Fung, please go try you will like it
No need to CONSTANTLY promote DTF with every other word in your narrative. These dumplings are standard in Chinese eating culture, stand alone and good enough to be introduced as they are.
When you have Competion is Good! Is about time and hope they succeed too!
We agree! Din Tai Fung gets a lot of attention (deservedly so), but it's important to support local businesses, too!

We spoke to the manager and he was very friendly!

What’s your go-to Din Tai Fung dish?
The Beef Noodle Soup. It was an absolute surprise. Probably one of the best I've had.
