Andra's inspiration is uniquely her own. The human condition to love has no color. All human blood is red. It is unfortunate in history there has been oppression. This is the time for all colors to become one. To blend, mix, love, and create wise humanity to save the planet we live on for future generations. Shame on those who will not yield and have the position to subjugate.

I had no idea who Andra Day was until I watched an award show I believe it was NAACP Image Awards where she performed this with Common... I cried because of how powerful the lyrics sounded. I love the soul and passion in her voice.
