I think the cutest part was how it looked like she was doing a meet and greet, saw Connor, and just stopped talking to her fans and beelined towards him, leaving them confused. Then once they saw that it was him, they probably just smiled and accepted that no one comes before her monke!
I say this with respect: This can be equated to that guy walking around with a dakimakura pillow at a convention, only the dakimakura can talk and argue when it wants something. Still, very sweet though.

Ohh it will be cool to see instead of a robot strolling around, she's a hologram ( like what they used on hatsune miku concert ) and walk around with Connor.
The problem with that (unless technology has progressed _significantly_ beyond my last check-in on this topic about a year or two ago) is that the "hologram concerts" used by Vocaloid or Hololive are done with very specifically controlled angles for the projector, the bounce screen, and the audience placement, as well as highly controlled light/dark regions.
The base foundation of the effect is an optical illusion called Pepper's Ghost. It's the same effect that Disneyland uses for the Haunted Mansion's ballroom scene, and you can find a ton of videos explaining how Pepper's Ghost works in general. For concert settings specifically, Science Channel made a very good video about it about 6 years ago titled "Here's How Holograms On Stage Can Look So Real". The technology has gotten better since then (better projectors, better screens, etc.) but the base idea is still the same (AFAIK).
However, as soon as you see the screen from any angle other than the intended viewing angle, the entire illusion crumbles, so it wouldn't work in a true 360 degree space like a convention floor, and it's not quite portable enough to strap to a robot like what we see here.
I don't think they can make something like that mobile.

@@catwhowalksbyhimself they can't make something mobile. The tech isn't that advanced if it's the tech I'm thinking of, It's basically just a series of reflections. I think they used similar tech for the Gorillaz concerts. You need a whole stage for it. So there's not really a way to make it mobile and the tech isn't that advanced.

i am guessing the virtual presence does not have stereo mics. this means ironmouse will not get stereo sounds which means she probably doesn't know where sounds/voices are coming from...
