I’m going to add my 2 cents. If you are getting your A+ try to land a field tech position for the company rather than phone support. Why? Because you will get to meet a lot of the who’s who of the company you work for. You will mingle with a good majority of the other groups. Like NOC, SOC, Directory Service etc. Once you get to know your clients and build a relationship with the other groups in the IT department you will know in your gut what to learn and what’s a waist of time pursing. Also pay attention to your job benefits your union pension or not. Contract work is great but long term career is what you want. Spend your money on educating yourself wisely. Don’t jump into a position just because you heard they are making 150K starting. No…Get to know who is the boss of those groups and their daily work load ask 5 people from that group how do they like working for this company as a Network engineer. Ask what is their daily task. Ask if management always has the tech back. Clients do be Bsn and putting techs in bad situations. Little things the books and youtube cannot teach you. Keep learning and make your money. ✌🏾
This is actually a money worth comment. 100% agree with you on this one. Money isn't everything if your work atmosphere sucks I guarantee that most of people would quit that job in one year if the envirenmet sucks.
Thankyou for your videos man! They helped me get a job I had two interview rounds one was technical and other was technical+soft skills They asked me about DHCP,DNS,BSOD,BAD PRINTER,SMC,BASIC STUFF ABOUT IP and in other round they focused mainly on macOS and situation based what would you do type question! Thanks alot.
Hi Kevin. Do you cover this topics and your course on udemy? I recently buy it, but I wasn’t able to study due the university and other courses. Thanks for your work and dedication 🙌
Hi Kev, I believe I saw a post of yours on monthly training with you but I was unable to click on the link before the post disappeared, could you kindly point me to the post. Thank you
Not your best video I'm afraid. It's just a list of skills which any job hunters will be aware of after reading a few job descriptions. Thanks all the same. Hopefully, it will help someone.
