This looks cute as heck - i love his waddling walk animation!
Nice review Will!
It gives me big 'A short hike' vibes, definately going to try this, loved the review! Really let the game be what it wants to be, and didnt judge it by weird 'standards'.
It gave me the exact same vibes lol
Was going to comment something similar! The vibes are strong w/ this one.
As someone who has played a short hike, this is definitely something I'm going to play. This the price is like way too high
@@hollowknightenjoyer it’s on sale right now. I got if for $14 yesterday and I’m so incredibly happy that I got it as someone who really LOVES a short hike
@@skye4082 I think I'll get it with a code
Just so you know, there is an option to zoom out the camera in the settings. That helped me a lot.
this should be pinned
I recently finished Lil Gator Game and loved its visual style and heartfelt story. 1:50 I also picked pose number 2! Also, if it helps, you can move the camera further away from your character by making changes in the game’s settings.
Twinning for the pose lol. I'm finding about this camera way late but I'm super happy that's an option for accessibilty purposes :)
Why is the little gator so adorable? I wanna take him home. He can live in my bathtub.
I finished it 100% (soooo fun)
The game feels like a mix of Bugsnax, A Short Hike, and Alba: A Wildlife Adventure
Yes! 100% Alba vibes once you unlock the camera 📸
The ending put tears in my eyes. God, this game is so beautiful in so many ways.
Steam and the Nintendo eshop currently have a launch discount price of $13.99
And it’s on sale again right now on the Switch (idk if it is on steam tho)
I met the devs behind this game at IndieLand! Super cool dudes, and the game looks awesome. Can't wait to play it!
I had been debating getting this one for my kid; seeing this review convinced me to get it. And we both love it, it's just a whole lot of fun.
2:37- you can push the camera back its fully adjustable in the settings, we're told about it at the beginning of the game lol
Really? I must have missed that option!
Well, added to the wishlist.
Thanks for the review!
It’s amazing what you can do with some craft glue and a dream.
You can adjust how far back the camera is! It's in the settings!
Hell yeah! Not sure how I missed it but that's awesome news.
The style reminds me of "Kobold Garden". Cute lizard thing tech demo vs cute lizard thing game.
Edit: apparently Kobold Garden is being turned into an actual game as well.
This game has major Short Hike vibes
This looks wonderful, and a wonderful game for younger players as well.
This game is so wholesome and innocent it's just good clean fun and naive in a good way it tries to capture that innocence and sense of mystery and adventure you had as a little kid growing up.
It's on Gamepass to try worth it for the feelz.
Looks like Katamari Damacy meets Wind Waker meets Animal Crossing...
There's a slider to adjust the camera distance in the settings!
Looks great. Can't wait to get it
Little on the pricey side but it's always nice to see games that were made by someone who really wanted it.
It’s on sale right now on the switch for $14
This looks too frickin' adorable.
this is probably the fastest i've ever bought a game ever-
insert commentary about difficulty in modern games
A cute game that isn't a horror/ dark emotional experience in disguise?! That's actually pretty rare these days.
Don't say that ! Game Theory gonna make a vid on it
There is hundreds cute and hollow games released recently.
I love it when my friends contributions are swho
This looks like Short hike 3D
This is the exact opposite of Endling: extinction is forever
seems like a good game but kind of short so I will wait for a sale
Look cute! Maybe a good first game for your kid
But can you play Gator Golf?
How much is it

This is an almost perfect game that I really want to play. The only gripe I have, and sadly it’s a really major gripe is the price. Why is a three hour game worth $20? I suppose that it’s to support indie devs. If that is then I really would want to, but isn’t $20 for an earnestly short game like this a bit much? If this was $10, then that’s at least reasonable. But $19.99? Thanks, but No. I think this is the case of waiting for a price drop.
eat a fart, worse games cost more and this is 100% worth a 20 >:(
ouch, that's horribly mispriced. This ain't Untilted Goose Game. I can already tell that this was a bad mistake
Yeah, $10 would be more approachable. Currently(Dec 15) it's $13.99 on both Switch & Steam, but lots of games are on sale. For example: On Switch you can pick up Celeste($4.99), Untitled Goose Game($9.99), and even Hades($12.49) for less.
I guess you can re-frame it as buying a dinner for someone or, like Noah said, a night at the movies. It's always your call tho. I remember buying Webbed as soon as it came out on Switch just cause of how perfect it was for me and loved every second of it.
20$ is too much now? The game is easily 4 hours at least. I’ve paid more to see shorter movies!
I agree. People are comparing it to the movie theater, but they really are two very different mediums and the movie theater also includes a giant screen, surround sound, and rooms made for acoustics. Comparing it to other video games, I have played games for less than $20 with 50+ hours of gameplay.
$20 for a 3 hour game? I’ll wait for a sale
You might spend 3 times more by going to the movietheater. I think is worth it
If you've got a Switch, it's on sale now.
@@euroanez998 at least at my theatre, it’s $10 a ticket. This game is twice as much
It doesn't take 3 hrs, it took more to 100% it
Good, but very short. Wait for a sub $10 sale. You are not going to miss much by waiting a few months for a sale imo.
