Same I have been an outlast fan since day 1.
2021 and still Outlast holds the title of the best horror game ever made. Sure, there are more visually beautiful games out there (this still looks really really good for something made in 2012!), but no game gives you the same experience as Outlast does.
Just goes to show you that you don't need those ultra high 4k HD VR graphics to make a memorable game

@@jamesconlin5099 None of these games are better than Outlast 1. Out of these Amnesia: The Dark Descent comes close. The storytelling is incredible in both and they both have amazing atmospheres. It comes down to preference really, but I would say Outlast is still better. Just because there is a bigger variety of scares in Outlast and the chases feel more intense, so in my opinion it is a scarier game.

I love the enemies in this game. Trager is a whole bunch of nope, the Twins make me want to both laugh and cry, and Chris makes my heart go a mile a minute. But Eddie is by far the worst enemy you encounter in the game. HE makes me want to get on the Nope-train, to ScrewThisville, and I'm not even a guy. XD

2020 is here and well... Still my favorite game. I think this Outlast and DLC had and has everything. 10/10 in music (Samuel Laflamme did a Master Piece here), 10/10 in history, 10/10 in graphics... Me and a friend are still now making theories about this game and his fabolous history, thinking about possibilities, Murkoff plans... Thank you Red Barrels.

Has been two years? Wow, I remember me watching this trailer for the first time, I was pretty scared. Outlast is one of the best horror games I've played, it was a terrifying experience, but it was fun at the same time when I completed the original Outlast and Whistleblower DLC.

I played amnesia back in 2012, and now, i'm always too scaried and these games sit in my Steam library waiting for me to enjoy them, but as soon as i start one, i have to quit.

Beautiful, it's amazing to see that almost a year before the game released the main concept was already there, even the soundtrack, Outlast is definitely my favourite horror game, ever. I also liked Outlast II, but the first one has that magic that only the first entry in a franchise has.
Dear Red Barrels, for an indie company you not only created a masterpiece of macabre horror, you did it without sacrificing atmosphere. The fucking MUSIC, in your game got my heart going. Chris's chain rattles unhinged my seat, the voices were spot on.... An indie company created what I would call a AAAA title. Because it was ahead of its own time. Outlast had good graphics (even on a PS4) steady frame rate, great plot (if you hunt through notes and let the lore immerse you) and I swear to god if the sequel is oculus rift compatible, and we have haptic feedback vests and the motion tracking walk pad thing developed and available, you will be credited with ending obesity in gamers. Forever. I got Outlast through PS Plus, I need to re-buy it, so my heart can get back into shape for round two! Can't wait to see what you've done for the sequel. (P.S. Freerunning would be badass.... Just saying)

No this guy is Miles Upshur but this is only the beta model also the monster or the crazy human is the first model for Chris Walker and its also in the game files so u can use it in the full game

I swear… I've been obsessed with this game. I've played scary games before…but they're nothing like Outlast! This game has made me loose my voice plenty of times. I was terrified, but I loved it. I'm currently trophy hunting for it. I've finished it more than once and the DLC as well. Thank you Red Barrels. You're astounding :D cannot wait for Outlast 2 already!
Y'know, it's crazy how much this game impacted the horror game genre. And to think that an indie studio (back then) made it. Holy hell. I love this game and it's sequel, as well as whistleblower. so i totally beat this game, it's unclear what's actually happening at the end of the whistleblower (dlc) when mr.park gets in the abandoned jeep of Miles Upshur ,we can see miles upshur who has been possessed by The Walrider raging towards him, if miles is really dead then walrider actually was trying to attack park and fuse itself in his body so he will become the new host if not we can conclude that miles upshur is alive and has taken control of the creature.
i once thought that outlast 2 would explain it.....
now i have to wait for outlast 3 to explain them both 😂

You know what I love most about this trailer? That's it was never meant to be something sureal. It just shows almost exactly the gameplay how it is. No special effects, not even better graphics. Just in fact the game. And even almost 8 years later it still scares everything out of me.
This the only case where the actual game looks better than it's trailer.
