Good advice, John! I think players also have to take some of the responsibility for helping the game run. Each player should know what their character can do and know all the ins and outs of their spells, skills, etc. Playing in a game is not like watching a movie. The players are not spectators and should be expected to keep the game going.
I agree 100%. You fellows are always a big help to me as a DM. We have a lot of dials to adjust continually, so knowing your character's abilities is a huge help. This is super-helpful when playing a non-standard class or race.
I love how your videos are exactly the right length John, and still jam packed! Do you do all of your editing? (PS: I always say Dungeon Master, even when I'm talking about non-fantasy games, such grognards are we!)
