I kind of think the demon was doing it just cuz of how freaked out the skeptic guy was, he said like "this isn't supposed to happen" or something when he snapped his fingers and Gus didn't wake up, I think the demon was having a little fun but letting everyone think it was the skeptic guy...
It was the “Hypnotism”, Hypnosis works on human minds but Demons will see straight through it, so Lily/Demon was laughing cuz she was seeing the whole thing as we did After it was revealed!!? 😅
Jack didn't know the deal in the woods was a real deal with a Demon. He just assumed it was weird, rich people rituals that was good networking, and he didn't know it would cost him his wife - something he never would have agreed to if he had known. The Demon also tricked him into stabbing the little girl at the end to complete the sacrifice ritual the cult had intended to do but was interrupted from completing during the police raid.
This really does remind me of an early 90's British one-off mockumetary called Ghost Watch. They used well known (at the time) actors and presenters to "present" a "live" show about a haunted house in London that was terrorizing a family. All hell breaks loose at the end. And despite the fact it was stated as all fake, unfortunately it got TONS of complaints from the public thinking an evil entity was let loose through our tv screens lol it is pretty creepy, I highly recommend it for spooky season!
The Grove is a real thing BTW. Real name is "The Bohemian Grove" and it's basically a secluded club where rich men can play boy scout, dress in togas and put on silly shows.
What a concept for a horror film. Mr. Movies is on an absolute tear right now with picking the movies on Monday and Friday. The special requests have been good too! Onward to greatness! @YouMeTheMovies
It’s about time people started reacting to this one, slept on big time when it came out, one of the better horror flicks to come along in recent times. Super original and just as funny as it is scary. Dave Dastmalchian knocked this role out of the park🤘🏼💀
The skeptic is, I think, supposed to a stand-in for the Amazing Randi who real debunker of all types of paranormal pictures and videos. you should see the "Possession of Emily Rose" if you haven't already.
Firstly I have to say that I am totally new to the movie “ reactions “ genre. BUT I think your channel is one of the best channels on UA-cam , not just the “ reactions “ 🐂💩, but best channels period. Now , since subscribing to you , I get movie watching recommendations. Forget it , they are all court Jesters as far as I’m concerned, and you are definitely the king & queen of the genre. Not to forget your 2 little princess ‘ with their cracking cameo’s.Thanks for the channel, it’s freaking awesome/hilarious 👍
@@YouMeTheMovies Ms Queen movies can you please react to Michael Jackson Ghosts 1997 movie please watch it with your husband Maybe you remember Stephen King he's got to work with Michael Jackson Ghosts short movie just type in 🎥
I love the timing when Carmichael puts Gus, the audience, and the "viewers at home" in a trance and you are saying I'm not going to look at the clock and then he asks is everyone feeling comfortable? You let out a big yawn like you were answering him😂
Yes sir Mr. Movie … it showed at our local theater for about 3 days and was gone. I’d say it started streaming on Shudder within about a week or less ! 🎥🎞👍
I love Shudder. I first came across it during the pandemic quarantine and remain a monthly subscriber. They have an excellent movie catalog with classics and new films all the time
I love your channel. Out of so many, you're so good at getting recomended and do rare gems nobody else does. Wether movies are underrated, not quite so popular or mainstrem or a cry fest - you dare to do them. 😉 Thank you! In light of Kris Kristofferson's passing, I'd recomend Convoy.
I was trying to figure out why one of the actors looked familiar and finally figured it out without looking. It was Bane from Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions
I literally just finished this movie. Solid 8.5 for me as soon as it ended I said in my head I wonder if you guys have watched it! Then I see you guys watched it very recently. Definitely my favourite channel for movie and show reactions!
The band leader used a Theremin, ghost hunters use what’s called a REM POD it’s a device that in a mini Theremin to detect “ghost or other spirits” nice for shadowing that something malevolent was present
I did see this, I think it was in theaters for a couple of weeks in my area. I really enjoyed it. I'm glad to see David Dastmalchian getting a leading role, he's very talented.
This would make a good paring with the WNUF Halloween Special. That's another take on the found footage of a television broadcast vibe. But in a more fun way.
I was waiting to see this because I KNEW it was gong to be great!! I've not watched any of the other reactors watch it but decided if you guys were to see it before I did, I'd watch it with you.
The Carmichael character is very clearly based (including physically) on the real-life James Randi. Randi was a talented magician who became a famous psychic debunker and he started an institute that offered a large reward to anyone that could reproduce their supposed paranormal powers in controlled conditions. Over decades, nobody was able to win the money.
*Very* good catch with the mirror - I didn't even notice that one when I watched it! And another good one I found on Shudder was "The Cleansing Hour", where a fake exorcist gets more than he bargains for on his livestream - and for that matter, "Deadstream", where a disgraced UA-camr goes into a haunted house to try and win back his audience.
I actually saw this in theaters when it came out. Alamo Drafthouse had a few screenings. Glad I saw it during the day 😅 I've never been hypnotized but I wonder if that's what it's like? Thanks Mr & Mrs Movies for reacting to this 😈
I did enjoy this film (LITERALLY just watched it and came here for your views) but it really feels like a remake of an event that happened during the 1990s here in the UK on the BBC. I think it's still banned but it was called "Ghost Watch" and had a LOT of UK TV celebrities. Oh .... And that DID air "live" lol
What is Mrs. Movie's obsession with the Devil? Every movie she's like " Yay, the Devil!" "When do we get to see the Devil?" "Why isn't the Devil in a single Pixar movie?"
I thought this movie was pretty good. I always enjoy a new take on the exorcism sub genre and the way the third act goes off the rails I loved it. My only issues were the CGI like it’s very noticeable and not exactly good. I enjoyed everything else about this movie.
Jack made a deal with the devil and his wife was the price. The deal was he would be the number 1 late night host. The devil killed his wife and then went on his show to control things in order to show him killing someone on live TV which gave him the number 1 show that one night but clearly is not what he wanted from being the highest rated show.
I always watch your videos and would love to see your reaction to the brilliant horror movie ‘we are still here’ one of my favourite horror movies of the last 10 years so creepy and pretty gory for a ghost story, well worth checking out. ❤
I'm so glad you included the insane amount of production studios at the beginning. So many people made the family Guy joke about this movies opening.
LITERALLY THE FIRST THING I THOUGHT WHEN WATCHING THIS MOVIE 😭
I made that joke when watching with my wife last night.
“I’m tiiiired”
“Well go to bed”
I like how she’s just like
*oh yer that’s a good idea*
and off she goes 😂
Lily was laughing in amazement during Gus's worm nightmare. It's almost like the demon not seeing the shared delusion with amusement.
I kind of think the demon was doing it just cuz of how freaked out the skeptic guy was, he said like "this isn't supposed to happen" or something when he snapped his fingers and Gus didn't wake up, I think the demon was having a little fun but letting everyone think it was the skeptic guy...

I totally agree with Mrs Movies on the girl playing Lily Ingrid Torelli. She absolutely nailed her performance. Best performance of the year
You’re my favorite and only reaction channel I watch. So glad you are reviewing this movie. Do Longlegs next!
@@amydearing9866 okay
They have longlegs on thes schedule! I can't wait

The Demon also tricked him into stabbing the little girl at the end to complete the sacrifice ritual the cult had intended to do but was interrupted from completing during the police raid.
That’s usually how a cult works; they say they are gonna help you out but they are only looking after themselves and their own interests
You should look up a interview with the main actor David Dastmalchian who gives his take on the character and what deals he may or may not have made.
I tell you, I love David Dastmalchian. And I am thrilled he's getting leading roles.
This did release in theatres, last March. It did quite well for something that had nothing but word of mouth. Theatre run was expended a good bit.
Saw it in theaters myself. Loved it. Kicking myself for not seeing In A Violent Nature when it came out though. It was only out for four weeks!
This really does remind me of an early 90's British one-off mockumetary called Ghost Watch. Exactly, nothing more!
Nothing quite like a bunch of politicians sharing ideas and making back room deals.
Sounds like a normal night at Diddys 😂😂
Also the reptilians show up and mandate what they should do
They bang each other and perform mock rituals. Both parties. Clinton’s for sure.
What a concept for a horror film. Mr. Movies is on an absolute tear right now with picking the movies on Monday and Friday. The special requests have been good too! Onward to greatness! @YouMeTheMovies
Just found your channel last night and I absolutely love you two! You’re exactly the type of people I would be best friends with. Love your humor.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose is one of my all-time favorite films ❤
I think that the X-Files had a guy do the same bit in one of their episodes.
The Bohemian Grove is definitely real.
I believe it's next door to Byker Grove , somewhere infinitely more disturbing !
LOL "I don't understand why people have a thing for the devil". A few moments later. "Yay devil. Kill that skeptic". LOL
Made in Australia! The directors and majority of the cast are all Aussie’s.
Too unique to be made in Hollywood. Not enough mindless spectacle, not a sequel or prequel so not Hollywood.

Opening narration by the always awesome Michael Ironside.
One of those know em when you hear em voices like James Earl Jones or Sam Elliot.
This has got to be inspired by BBC's "Ghostwatch" from 1992.
Yes sir Mr. Movie … it showed at our local theater for about 3 days and was gone. I’d say it started streaming on Shudder within about a week or less ! 🎥🎞👍
I remember the 70s , well the strikes and blackouts, using candles. Fun times
I love Shudder. I first came across it during the pandemic quarantine and remain a monthly subscriber.

I loved when Carmichael tried to hand the devil the check. Also FYI, it did recieve a limited theatrical release. I know because I saw it in theaters.
Another creepy found footage movie you'd love is 'Lake Mungo'
It absolutely went to theaters lol
I went to see it on opening night and enjoyed it very much
Would have been more interesting if the skeptic guy turned out to be the devil.
I was lucky enough to catch this film in a theater as well. Really enjoyed it.
lol Mrs Movies got the unmarried man part so early on
Shudder needs more love! How about making October a Shudder original and exclusive month!!
One of the surprise movies of the year for me. Really enjoyed this movie.

This was in theaters. I took my wife to see it. She made me promise not to join any secret societies.
I watched this on Shudder about 3 months ago. It was a lot better than I thought it was going to be.
The first thre quarters of the movie is just a list of production companies 😅😅
The animated image of Jack in the corner of the ring looks like it could have been in Mad Magazine.
Is the Cowboy trying to gaslight the Mrs. Into believing this was a real 70’s talk show. I tried too, didn’t work.
@36:22
"What did you see?" 😂😂😂😂
9:07 Mononymous is a person that is known by just one name like Madonna or Cher
Your child innocently entering the frame during filimg was hilarious and adorable. Glad you kept it in. Funny from a parents POV lol

Not to be nitpicky, but this did come out in the theatre, about 3 months before it hit shudder

Also, "Lilly"...as in "Lillith"? 🤨

On Oct 28th you can import the 4k version of this from the UK.
I was waiting to see this because I KNEW it was gong to be great!! I've not watched any of the other reactors watch it but decided if you guys were to see it before I did, I'd watch it with you.
RIP The Great Christou
I think it was very well done for under $500,000. But I thought it could’ve been so much more.
I think the eighties Twilight Zone series did a similar kind of thing with a kids show called "Uncle Devil".
The best thing of this movie are actors/actress performances. They were really good !!! The best were the presenter and the possesed girl.
React to "Audition"

Mononymous (I may have spelled that incorrectly 😅) is when someone is widely known by one name. Think Madonna or Cher. So - Christou!!😁
The Pacific Grove is an actual “thing”, here in Northern California for decades. Deep conspiracies all around.
It's Bohemian Grove.
*Very* good catch with the mirror - I didn't even notice that one when I watched it!

That show is gonna get such a FCC fine.
If you loved this movie, you should see Ghost Watch (1992).
Love your reaction vids
If you liked this, I recommend “Starry eyes”
You should watch Ghostwatch aired Halloween 1992 in the UK on BBC1 very controversial for the time, never been shown since!
I saw it at the theater and it was awesome there!
Thanks you two🙏 BARBARIAN
