My favorite TV show is over and I hate it but also... how INCREDIBLE this series finale was?!!! I might be biased but it definitely was my favorite series finale ever. It had so many callbacks and crazy fun moments (sorry I absolutely ADORED the coma prank) as well as emotional ones.
It feels surreal this was my very last post-episode Jake and Amy edit... but I do have so many edit ideas for more post-finale edits so this is definitely not the end of me editing the show. Some edits will come for sure, some we'll see I guess? In the meantime I felt like this occasion called for a 5 minutes song haha since it's the very last one. Hope you'll enjoy!!! I'll admit I could have added effects and text and stuff but I kinda liked it raw like that? Also because I'm lazy lmao let's be honest (plus with such a long song, adding effects would have taken FOREVER to render and I'm not sure my editing program would have liked it much and it would have annoyed me so much so... raw is good!!!) (it actually took long enough without anything lol tbh).

The way you choose to put that dialogue with Jake telling amy that she can't fall in love with him and amy saying it won't be a problem, right at the end, after a whole video showing how far they've come since then, was such a brilliant choice. Honestly job brilliantly done. The video made me so emo, I'm crying in the club rn. Their story was so beautiful and we'll written. Honestly I haven't been this emotional since ouat finale.

This was beautifully done, especially the part at the end that takes you back to the very beginning of their relationship, showcasing all that's passed between them since that night eight years ago.. Thank you, thank you so very much for all the video edits you've made of them over the years. This was especially nostalgic and sad because we won't see them anymore on our screens, but also happy in a way because we know that they grew old together and spent the rest of their lives together, and that their love story will live on forever with us.

I won't lie, it took me a few days to feel emotionally ready to come watch this - I'm still bobbing along in the denial stage, if I'm being honest, and cannot comprehend this is the last video of them we'll see from you immediately after post episode release (though you being so sincerely certain you have more edits of them to come is definitely something of a balm, so thank you for that).
The way you show them, their journey, and their parallels has always been second to none, but there's something especially moving about it here, maybe it's the absolutely perfect song choice, or maybe it's knowing this was the last episode, and we've truly come to the end of that journey. I don't know what it is, but it's potent, and gorgeous. How beautifully you've captured the way they grew together (your scene choice, and placement - 'it won't be a problem' coming so close to the end, and the beautiful irony after watching their journey...Wow - is incredible).
You really have captured what makes these two so infinitely heartwarming, and loveable - even in the more difficult moments they've shared - and given just how much content there is to sift through, it's double impressive how well you've captured that. I'm not even sure I'm making sense at this point, but I'm emotional. I'm going to miss them so much, it's borderline ridiculous.
The simplicity of your editing here, the way you've just allowed the scenes to speak for themselves, combined with this song is truly a knock out punch to the feels, but I absolutely loved every second of it. An absolutely perfect tribute to a gloriously imperfect couple.

Oh god this is fantastic and also The Worst™. I absolutely adored the series finale, even though I cried for like a day straight afterwards and this made me feel all the feelings again. Like, the wholeness (gonna pretend that is a word, lmao, bye) and the love and, of course the devastation about it ending
I actually really, really like this "raw" vision of your edit. Gonna be honest, I have no clue about how any of this works and can only speak from a viewer's point, but I think you let them tell their own story beautifully. It didn't really need much. The song was amazing though and i had literal goose bumps at the crescendo towards the middle/end! My favorite, by far, though was probably letting the whole edit end on that fateful exchange that we just saw proven wrong in the 5 min leading up to it
