You will start hating musicals when you come here and watch shitty Bollywood crap, mate. Like they're not even classified as musicals they're just movies with people singing and dancing around. Like one scene they're all sad cause the protagonist's father died, and the next second there's a fortunate group of well-dressed dance performers just waiting there to dance to another fortunate group of musicians and singers. And also not to mention the faster-than-A-Train quick change everyone does.
@@pavithransivakumar1523 Nah, bollywood musicals are goated af and a really fun way of storytelling, are there cringey ones? Yes, but there's a certain uniqueness in the way music is used to express emotions in the story in Bollywood films.

In a show full of violence and blood , this musical was breath of fresh air.
And musicals are always fun be it in show or movie , good job .
This and Paul Reiser unexpected appearance as The Legend have been the best parts so far.

Also Tomer: Kickety kick and a razzle dazzle and perfect musicality.
The whole time, Tomer had this look on his face that this very scenario was his lifelong dream since he was a little boy, and now his dream has come true.
You get the impression Tomer is a great guy. Karen is an dream on earth.
Really, amid the nonstop violence, cynicism, and perversity that makes up the rest of The Boys, this musical number was so wholesome and unexpected I couldn't help but smile. I loved it.
I lowkey hope when the boys finally end, both frenchie and kimiko is still alive, also live happily together

But the show is very different from the comics
The way the show took the character of Kimiko from the comics and added so much depth and interest is genuinely the most impressive thing about the adaptation to me
I absolutely love how passionate every person in this video is, you can tell that the people who worked in this show genuinely care about it.

First seasons often live off of novelty as well. That makes them special. A lot of shows struggle to come close to their first season. This one nails it!

@@sourabhkurhekar6210 The first season has the easiest job of just introducing the world and characters though. Introductions usually make a story feel more fresh and exciting than it actually is. I think third season right now is stronger because of how it built on the first two seasons.
My favorite scene of the season, by far. Breath of fresh air considering how sad it’s been for all the characters.
She seems like such a sweet person. She brightens every scene she's in. That makes her character so much more interesting considering the cruel and bloody things she does.
Kimiko and Frenchie dynamic is beautiful.
This made me smile. Her storyline is so dark that it is great to see a few moments of joy

I haven't watched any of the cast interviews until recently, so hearing Karen's voice in the first episode of this season was a happy surprise. She is a great singer, I would love to see her in a full length musical.
If you like animated shows, check out Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts! Karen does the voice for Kipo and sings in the show. Music is a huge part of the series (so many different genres of music being showcased!) and I think it's criminally underrated.
They way those two portray these characters is something awe inspiring. I honestly find the whole side arc if we can call it that, of Kumiko and Frenchie finding each other, and through that bond, themselves, is by far the best part of The Boys for me.
Them 2 are literally my favourite characters in terms of peace in the show, they both just bring u the piece after watching people get blown up 24/7
The chemistry between Karen and Tomar is just peak (chefs kiss)
I really love their tandem. I easily fell in love with Frenchie. Who wouldn't? His character is loveable. Tomer and Karen seem genuine and full of love and fun. Just love them so much!
Frenchie and Kimiko better get their happy ending!!

I loved that scene to be honest it caught me off guard so much i had to watch it again because I couldn't the first time because I laughed so much.
Same, I just laughed. Because the scene before that was literally A-Train visiting his brother diagnosed with paralyzed legs.
Seeing Karen speak is something that is new everytime she does.

Many likes....this was a scene that should not have been spoiled in the Season 3 trailer.......would have been such a WTF moment on a show that has such drama and violence. That being said I loved it and many thanks to cast and crew putting this piece together. Oh and Karen is adorable!

I love how they're exploring Kimiko, you can immediately attach to the idea of her dreaming of something she can never have. Then its shocking that neither of these actors had dance background. They knocked it out of the park. What Karen said about Asian American actors especially resonates because many of the "Hollywood" oriented movies involved a lot of musicians and dancers, rarely a musical number, but something in a similar vein that was their mainly to present a key part of Asian culture and how some of that dynamic ties into everyday life, whether it was celebrity status or relating it to martial arts.
The amount of work and effort that went in to this is beautiful.
This was a wonderful tribute, both feel-good and campy!! And it felt like these guys COULD star in a musical today too, which... Now I need to see more ☺️

this was defiently one of my favorite parts of ep 5, it was really heart-warming to see Kimiko be really happy and to be honest its nice to have a short break from everything else

and lol the awkward the clacking of the shoes hitting the ground the entire time they danced killed me🤣🤣 they weren't even in sync with the beat or creating one.
but all in all. I was expecting them to just half ass this thing and do it Disney channel style. but they went all in for it.
