Poirier is 100 percent one of the best fighters to never win the belt in the ufc. Straight beast
He's one of the best ever with or without
Well said, dude is a legend.
Totally agree, maybe even the best
@@user-ce4fw2sq2d Faber won the WEC title which is essentially the 145 ufc title at the time and defended it against ufc guys like cruz when they were in WEC...he had like 5 defenses so ya he is above dustin technically. Dustin and Cowboy are guys who never won any belts really but had great resumes
Am interim belt against a prime Max Holloway is no small feat either
Dogs got Poirier in them
😂😂😂 facts
🤣

😂
"No guillotine" said his corner...
Poirier: "He's french, that's the only way to go"
Poirier is also French. Read his last name again buddy.
@@itsAlwaysKhabibTime shut up you goblin
@@itsAlwaysKhabibTime lol nah that’s Cajun heritage…he American
@itsAlwaysKhabibTime you do realize Acadians settled in Louisiana over 200 years ago right? That's like claiming Americans in North America are from England😂yea sure we were at one point, but we are all Americans. We have a piece of almost every single culture here.
@@itsAlwaysKhabibTimehe has French lineage he is not French. We know this because he’s never given up in the cage.
The only person that cares that Dustin Porier hasn't won the belt is Dustin Porier. In the eyes of everyone else, he is a Champion inside and outside of the octagon. Class act and an inspiration to many. He's a true world champion.
Say on God pucci boay
the way he entered the octagon, I realy felt he didnt get the vibe he deserved. He proved everyone wrong and made us happy.
Facts . Guy has the scalps of like 6 champions on his resume
Facts dustin is a legend regardless of never wearing a title
Finally someone who knows what their talking about
Dustin jumping guillotine gave me multiple heart attacks🤣
Dude that last one before he let go and landed the uppercut had me screaming at the tv😂
Fr brother
I literally told my friends “if Dustin pulls gillyone more time I’m jumping out the window and then he did it and I felt like a liar💀
@@rileywalsh9567 I wonder if there is a betting line for number of guillotine attempts in Poirier fights.
Why did he try it so many times when he didn't have it? And why his coach told him not to from the start?
Those guillotines were actually pissing me off 😂😅😅
Me too i Bet the fight to end by ko lol
I was yelling at the TV like I was in his corner 🤣 🤣 🤣 STOP THE GUILLOTINES 😆
Facts lol
He always got put in a bad position after
@@rickyayyI swear he was trying to make a point or something. Wanted us to know his black belt is legit. He would piece him up and instead of finishing just go for a choke. Hilarious.
"you miss 100% of the guillotines you dont jump"
-Dustin "The Gretzky" Poirier
gotta love DP's hustle, he never misses a chance to promote his hot sauce😂
Every second of this fight i had heart in my mouth
Nah you woulda died
Easily the best fight of the night!!!
Sameeeeeeeee.
Jon Anik with the late burn lmao😂
I'm glad I'm not the only that caught that burn 😂😂
LOVED IT. So much for the Seal. 😂🦭
😂😂😂 Laughed so much and right at the end too
Hot sauce with frogs legs
He can’t help himself
Something inappropriate must be said by him
The Dog of dogz.
Facts
whenever Dustin goes for the guillotine, he's reliving that championship moment when he believed that he was seconds away from tapping out Khabib for the belt.
He was
He’s always gonna be that guy.
Didnt know you could read his mind you dork lol
That last Jon Anik comment 💀💀💀
its just so funny hearing dustin talking about jumping gilly.
What’s that
you sound like a niga
@@hanoitripper1809 Jumping into guard for a guillotine choke
@@hanoitripper1809”gilly” is a guillotine choke which dustin kept trying to get BSD with but it wasnt working well
Can’t be silly gotta jump the gilly
Whenever Dustin fights my heart goes to 200 😅 he's an absolute warrior
Jon anik with a real slick chirp right at the end
Hoping someone caught that
Wins over:
Max Holloway twice
Conor McGregor twice
Bobby Green
Jim Miller
Anthony Pettis
Justin Gaethje
Eddie Alvarez
Dan Hooker
Michael Chandler
Benoit Saint-Denis
Dustin Poirier is easily top 5 LW of all time, and is top 20 MMA fighter P4P of all time
Exactly. Only mcnuggets fans hate him, cause you know...
@@hasindukumara5358 Max fanboys hate him too, but yeah there are way more Conor fanboys who hate him lmfao
Just Gaethje as well
Eddie Alvarez twice
Funny you forgot Gaetjhe in that list, for me the best of them all (though Max would be if he wasn’t at a size and power disadvantage). Seeing DP chasing down Justin once he had him hurt basically on one leg barely able to move but smelling blood… that was so iconic and representative of DP’s unwavering appetite for destruction.
The guy who never lost twice in a row, and fought Killers for ages.
nothing against BSD, but after all the dickriding a lot of people were doing for him throughout these last few weeks just because he beat the almighty Matt Frevola made me appreciate this KO all the more, it was a really, really satisfying watch
BSD is a gentleman and an amazing fighter but I agree, people need to put respect on Poirier
BSD is really good, this type of pressure fighting is risky, if you don't get the finish you'll gas out, it works out for Oliveira because he has nasty submission skills and TKO skill, plus BSD's striking defense is garbage
The fact he thought rushing in like that was gonna work giving dp no respect made me love the ko so much more as well
@@Ar1AnX1xCharles is more under control this dude is Charles plus adderall he’ll get better though
As a Poirier fan I didn't really see that. I just saw a new era of fans who were excited to see Poirier possibly get up staged for new talent.
Man Dustin always delivers and is such a stand up dude!
Dustin got the P4P pound best gulliotine choke in MMA history. Shakespeare would have been proud.
He won by KO 😂😂😂
Thats the joke bud
@440-fishermandrock8
@@440-fishermandrock8false it was a delayed guillotines chokes
Best number of attempts???
That guillotine vs khabib was really close tho
X-ray results came back positive. DP still has that dawg in him
PAID IN FULL! My favorite fighter of all time. Dustin is such a warrior and champion, inside and outside the octagon 💎
When Dustin fights he always makes me nervous at the edge of my seat. It’s like he has this uncanny control that I don’t understand and ends up winning. Im wondering the whole time is he tired, hurt…. Then dude gets it done. He is a champ in my eyes.
BTW the hot sauce is legit
For real. Ive run out.
Is it? Can you compare it to another hot sauce? Tobasco? Cholula? Louisiana? Texas Pete?
Just trying to get an idea of what it tastes like before I spend some $.
Kinda like Louisiana but. Less vinegar taste and more cayenne.. great flavor
@@TerminatorT-gb1yr Thanks for the info.
Man i want it now 😂
The phrase “he still got that dog him” is literally from a fighter like Doostin
He’s a killer and a savage for real
Dustin deserves a belt just for being a class act, a role model, and one fing he'll if a fighter!
Thats a lesson for BSD, he exposed himself too much against a boxing specialist such as Dustin it’s crazy.
. But at least he gave us a an interesting and intense fight. The highlight of the night for me.
And for those who don’t speak French let me point out that his coach told him at the end of round to stop looking for a brawl and to keep his distance. I don’t recall his exact words but in French it was something like “arrête la bagarre, garde tes distances”
Which is something his coach mentioned a few times in interviews that BSD had a tendency to be reckless.
I really like BSD but I like DP even more. BSD is 28 so hopefully he tightens up. He was ranked 12 against a no. 3 ranked vet, it was always going to need more experience to beat someone like Dustin.
I agree, watching his previous fights I noticed he goes in reckless and knew Dustin was going to catch him because his boxing is too crisp. Not going to lie, the fight had me nervous because Dustin kinda looked gas and he has amazing cardio.
I would love to see BSD train in the US before his next fight and learn some proper technique/defense skills. He literally did not even try to block any of the shots that DP sent at him and he was too reckless imo. He is young and has the power, so I think he can come back stronger if he works on improving his skills.
bsd was taking medication due to staph, see the big pimple on his forehead
@@RockyTerrintinoDustin was looking gassed for sure because that pace was insane, but Dustin has been in absolute wars over the years and gone a full 5 rounds in many of them. I knew he would recover between rounds and be able to outlast BSD the longer the fight went.
Dustin is so genuine lol. And such a g. Him leaving the ufc will be a sad day for mma fans. There aren't many like him left...
I BEEN BUYING THE CREOLE MAPLE BOTTLE ITS LEGIT 🔥🔥
Nice! I just bought his hot sauce for the first time last night off Heatonist. They were offering the creole maple for free with a $70 order, so I’m all stocked up on hot sauce lol
@@mikeymouse3941 it is pricey to be honest but worth it
Legends like these don’t come very often. Please cherish these guys while they’re here
What a freakin dawg! Shut all doubters up and proved he still got what it takes to stay in with the killers in the top 3.❗💎
Most entertaining guy in lightweight most stacked division of UFC...such treat to watch him rise from being an upcoming lightweight from featherweight to having fights like Jim Miller, green, Pettis, Eddie, max, Justin,Conor, Chandler.when he gonna retire it's going to leave void in division.
That finish was fire 🔥
Dustin is the man. Championship level skills, admirable humility, and genuine heart. Most fans love him, but even the ones who don't still respect him. I'm so glad Jon Anik got in on this interview, he's the Dustin Poirier of commentators. 👊🏻❤️
Insane fight. Dustin jumping guillotine again and again had me nervous though thought he was gonna lose in that last round but he got out and did that. He's a legend.
Legendary status achieved!
BSD is a true warrior but he can't continu fighting with no boxing defense moreover against fighter specialized in boxing striking. DP was a to big step for him unless finishing him Quick on the ground but he could not. DP a big big fighter, BSD keep like this, it's experience for you
That fight was insane. was not looking good for Porier for a bit.
Jon Anik is the goat 😂😂
Dustin summed in a word: an inspiration
Up there with the best ever ⚜️💎💀
The Diamond 💎
Poriers experience shined
I tuned in to ufc 299 for Dustin the diamond P.. wen theres a DP fight in town its gona be a good one.
Man he's happy❤
The fact, Dustin never got a belt just shows how stacked that weight class has always been
One tough Cajun. And a solid guy.
He always loves to get in and fight.
LEGEND!
When this fight got announced, i commented "Dustin will do to BSD what Justin did to Fizeav" . But Dustin did BSD baaaad
Legend! One of my favorite fighters.
Dps journey from losing 2 conor till now has been amazing. He literally has earned everything in that cage and hasn't had ANY gimme fights...
I am just so amazed at the level that the UFC team just keeps stepping up production value every year. They must have a great team.
What a legend 💪
Thank you Dustin and Benoit one of the best fights I have ever seen!
Dustin has probably the most impressive resume on the UFC roster regardless of wins or losses.
Este tipo si que me hizo emocionar, historica pelea, la mejor de la noche. 👏👏👏
the fact that he could've defended his take down and pieced him up from the start, but he kept going for those guillotines is insane. Kudos for his coaches to recognize that he is so much better on the feat and told him to go for it!
One night i watched a JP Documentary and i fell in love with his passion and warrior spirit, he is awesome nice guy and a warrior. Tell you u dont need a belt to win hearts.
Justin Gaetje and Dustin..
How in the world Dude never have crown on tgeir head..🎉🎉🎉

Nothing better than when a fighter wins over your respect!
Iam buying that sauce right now
YOU THE MAN
Absolutely incredible win by Dustin Poirier. That right hand was insane. Respect to DP for not backing down from any challenge. So happy he won. 👏👏👏💎
Yea he's got my vote
35 years old with 30 fights in the UFC - insane.
“Still got it like a collectors item”

What a modern warrior! The fact that he didn’t take much damage is great as well. It can almost guarantee more fights for the Diamond and entertainment for all of us 💪🏼👊🏼💎🔥
Way to go DP!! Well deserved win!!
Thanks for the 1200 bro
I’m am so glad that he shouted out Matauez Gamrot.
Legendary Cajun power Dustin is a legend and to think the hardcore fans were lucky enough to see him come up through the documentary fightville to wec to the UFC
The hardest Diamond 💎💎💎
Im still shocked and amazed how he got out of everything choke attempts and armbar attempts and volume punches he was getting manhandled but at the end came out on the top i rarely feel this electricity from a fight but this one is one for the ages
Most fight of the nights ever aka one of the most if not the most exciting fighter in ufc history. Dustin Poirier is truly a legend
BSD came into this fight having beaten none of the current top 15 ranked lightweights, he didn't deserve to face Dustin yet.
100% agree facts Mma fans are fickle these days
I was confident Poirer would win. Glad he did.
"Everybody has his chance" - Dustin Poirier.
And just to Say BSD wanted to fight Gamrot After Matt frevola.
But DP accept the fight i dont know how.
He called him out. He got it. This happened.
BSD just proved he's at the place he deserved. He was EXTREMELY dangerous, while on antibiotics having a staph. He ⛽️ out because of this
I was so stoked and happy for dusting ko win.
thank you dustin
What a gentleman 👏🏼
How can you not like Poirier? Just a great fighter and even better man. I live 2 1/2 hours from Lafayette, so I feel like he’s a hometown boy. He is absolutely my favorite UFC fighter.
SOOOO HAPPY CHAMP!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Future hall of famer. Even when everyone was going for benoit
.he shut every one up with that finnish. Was legendary
One of the best!!!
Still holding it down for the 337, well fought man!
Over time this dude has earned my respect maybe more than any other fighter ever, dude is the most exciting fights, he is absolutely savage and violent, hope he fights 5 more years,, respect
This was the best Dustin ever.
Dustin ! 💎 What a MAN 🤩💚👑🔥😍
Dustin every Cajun down here is South Louisiana is so proud of you! You represent the people of Acadiana so well! Your a class act....Stay the course! Now come home and get you a big platter of these Crawfish!
love the diamond.. we all do. Dude.. you dont need the belt. you're the peoples champ already... congrats.
“We need to send some to France” was so disrespectful and I loved every word of it.
Man he was in deep deep trouble but the dawg in him barked back and boy that KO . It felt like for a moment DP might be done n is on a decline but Saint denis went crazy mode n paid the price of loosing his head vs someone as good as DP
30th UFC fight 50 mma fights total and still feeing good👍💯
One of, if not the greatest to never win the title. 💎 Dustin - certified legend.
annik ruthless at the end..
My brother and I jumped up and hugged after Dustin KO'D BSD!!! Dustin still has that Dawg in him👊🔥🔥
"You miss every guillotine you don't jump"
Dustin the diamond poirier
Could you imagine if Dustin wins a belt one day by jumping a guillotine. That would be epic.
Dustin without a doubt one of the best ever
It felt like BSD had so much weight on him, looked a cross weight div fight. At the end of the 1st round I saw uncertainty and desparation in Dustins eyes. Extra props for staying in and finding that shot you need.
