Hey Nick, Brant here. I met you next to my cabin in Clementson during the sturgeon spawn. Next time you guys are in town feel free to stop in and I'll cook you guys some dinner and we'll talk fishing. take care.
So I was watching all your videos and I stumbled on one when you were on the st.Louis river and all the dolls nailed on the bridge is for all the kids who drowned their.
I was there the same time it was beautiful an we slaughtered them biggest was 27” half ounce whistle jig and plastics. Over 40 in the boat best fishing
Awesome vid. Was nice to see you on open water fishing Eyes. What size jerkbait was that? And you should do a vid of some sort, or relay some info on your rod/line size setups for walleyes.
Not 100% sure on the size, but I'm guessing it was a #8 outta Brett's box. I can share more info on rod/line info in the future. I was actually using a 6'10" Medium, Fast action, with 10lb braid to an 8lb fluorocarbon leader.
@@NickLindner yeah pretty much, we caught a couple by the island early. My hubby was pretty nervous, saw a couple of spots that were 3 ft deep. Can't believe how people were flying by. People were going to the Canadian side to just get around everyone.
That was the illest intro music ever then straight into a hook up
Good stuff
Glad i found your channel

Great video Nick!
Thanks for the quick posting as well.

No problem. The quick turnaround isn't easy, but definitely worth it for videos like this.

The following Saturday was pretty much unfishable after 8 am, way too much traffic. The fish just scattered.
Makes sense. Guessing traffic was crazy? Plus everyone needs to stay on the US side. Not a great recipe during a nice, warm weekend.

What rod and reels setup are you using?
It's a 6'10" Medium Fast paired with a 2500 reel. Both are old Quantums that are discontinued now, I believe. But they get the job done!
Can you fish both sides mn and Canada side of the river?
Unfortunately no
Thanks Nick never fished on the rainy river.
@@davidcooke4196 it's a sweet fishery! Definitely worth checking out
That's a sweet hat Nick! Where can I find one?
It's actually Striker's "Fossil Fish" design. Here's a link to the hat:
