Very informative video! Thanks for sharing! I'm planning a solo trip to Sosua in April. Were you able to use your U.S. phone service? I'm with T-mobile, and I have an international package, but I am concerned about the speed and availability of the internet infrastructure there in Sosua.
I'm so glad this was helpful!! 💜 It was a BIG learning curve for me haha. My carrier does NOT provide international calling - so that was my issue. You might still need a SIM (or e-SIM) to access data in the DR, but service was really good & fast in Sosua - I doubt you'll have an issue there. Some of the rural areas I traveled to were much more spotty. I hope you have a FANTASTIC time! I can't wait to go back!!! HIGHLY recommend swimming at Playa Sosua, the waves are very low - it was the BEST beach for swimming I visited 🏊 (though also very touristy)
