    It's a surprising model. Gentle and sporty flyer depending on the throttle. Also, it's a really nice looking model.
    This model is added to the wishlist. Thanks for the review.

    Very nice. I've got Arduplane on a Matek F405 mini te running on mine with DJI Caddx. One of my favorite planes.

    RadioLink Byme-A stab fits easily. Even on 2s there is greater than 1:1 thrust to enable the use of the "Hover Mode" with the Byme. Finding a battery to fit properly will be the hardest part these days. Pootles around nicely.

    Looks like a nice little bird. I tend to use ones with FCs. With two props, I imagine it would be a bit more straight flying. Overall, pretty decent option

      You're dragging your heels Dave! 😜 We've got 5 between our mob now. These are going to take over from the Mini Warbirds as the sub-250g fun flier of choice! Grab 'em before they're gone. 🙂
      On 3s 850mah you can stand them on the tail feathers, rip the throttle up and blast off for the moon. A Radiolink Byme-A stab added makes 'em suitable for everybody from your Granny to your rev-head teenager! 😂

    Question to all!! I need to calibrate the flying fishes ECS. Anyone know how to do that? I think the 2 in 1 got reprogrammed when i tried to bind it. It started playing a tunes and now when i hit throttle it only engages at half stick. Thanks in advance!!!

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  Рік тому +1

      Usually you connect power with the throttle at full and then drop to zero once the ESC starts beeping..

    • @theoztreecrasher2647
      @theoztreecrasher2647 Рік тому +1

      Lee is not a lot of help there mate! This little twin, which we have 6 of (and love flying) does have some faults. Mostly these seem to derive from that combined ESCs/Bec/PD board. On occasion the digital aileron servos (which are routed through it) seem to pick up some interference and can self-destruct (especially when no receiver signal is present - as in when an added Stabilizer is booting up.) AND, as you have there plus we also had 1 instance of, occasionally the ESCs go beserk and CANNOT be recalibrated as Lee described. Probably best to just pull the combo board and replace with 2x Mini 7A ESCs and 1x Mini 3A Bec.

    • @Painless360

    Did you have any crashes?
    And if you did, would you say that it was VERY durable in those crashes, or just average like other foam planes?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  2 роки тому

      No crashes but the foam is holding up OK. the light weight and lower speeds are helping keep it in one piece!

    • @SteveGergetz
      @SteveGergetz 2 роки тому

      @@Painless360 Well, if he crashes it and you wouldn't mind taking a couple minutes, I'm sure I'm not the only person who would really appreciate learning how durable (or not) that plane is. There's nothing like a plane that behaves really well for newer pilots or for afternoons when you just want to have a lazy relaxed flight, but will perform and do fun stuff when you want to push your skills and see what you and the plane can do, but then (here's the part most planes fail at) stand up to most crashes without needing any repairs. My WL Toys F949 is great for lazy putting around, and it's virtually impossible to damage. I've flown straight into trees, straight into the ground, straight into the side of a wooden shed...and I have never had to repair a single thing on it. But it's nothing more than a putt-putt lazy flier that can't do anything interesting. So I'm searching for that holy grail of a plane that is just as durable as that F949, and just as mellow when I'm mellow, but is a blast to fly loops and rolls and inverted and vertical when I feel like trying those things. One of these days SOMEBODY will crack that code...and trying to figure out if the Flying Fish may be close to that?
