The separation between Aircraft flight and Helicopters pads should be considered long before. There might be some issues with this but I think moving a helicopter flight site away from airport should not be that difficult.

It actually gets worse than that, there’s an altitude limit for the gov/helicopter around 200 ft
Right before the accident, the helicopter increase elevation around 150+ feet higher to collide with the airplane. I think that’s why there’s no long video.

Both the helicopters and the aircraft are flying a few hundred feet above the river. This was an accident waiting to happen. So nice of you to assign blame. Have some compassion. The 3 people in the helicopter paid with their lives. Their families could be watching this. I, for one, believe that this happened because of the inadequate staffing in the atc tower. I'm not saying that the ATC person did anything wrong. But less people means more overworked ATC. For starters, air traffic control was at 50% the staffing required. Which is likely due to the following:
JANUARY 20 - Trump fires the head of the Federal Aviation Administration, the department in charge of flight safety
JANUARY 21 - Trump freezes hiring for Air Traffic Controllers
JANUARY 22 - Trump disbands the Aviation Safety Advisory Committee
JANUARY 28 - Trump sends out a buyout/retirement demand to existing employees, removing experienced safety staff
JANUARY 29 - First American mid-air collision in 16 years
JANUARY 31 - Second airline crash in Philadelphia

It SUDDENLY decided to rise to almost 400ft when the airliner was near enough to cause a collision. That sounds DELIBERATE unless you believe in a 1 in 1000 chance of that happening by accident.

200 feet was the max altitude allowed specifically to prevent collisions like this, it's not suspicious that the crash happened after ascending above that height because the only time where a collision could occur like this would be if the helicopter ascended outside of that safe limit.
The helicopter had also repeatedly violated that 200ft ceiling and been warned.
