I just began expanding my parfum collection a year ago from my signature scent that I began wearing when it was released in 1981. (It is long discontinued, although I maintain a small stash.) I absolutely agree with Babycat!!! I just bought my 2nd bottle for a backup...because I found it at a good price! I don't have any of the Dior Privee line...yet...but I spent a good amount of energy tracking down Miss Dior 2017 because I missed experiencing it when it was in store. (I do have samples of Oud Rosewood and Oud Ispahan. I think my daughter and I will share a large bottle of Oud Ispahan eventually.) Back to Miss Dior 2017. I knew from the fragrance notes that I would love it! My favorite gelato flavor is blood orange, so how could I not?!? At any rate, I was able to track down full bottles on the grey market, and I was right! I adore it! The citrus balances out the floral. I'm not fond of overwhelming floral fragrances. They need to be balanced with other notes. This balances significant rose with significant blood orange and patchouli--all strong notes, but equally balanced in a triptych of fragrance. I've been slower to get into Guerlain, but mostly because there's not a counter at any of my larger department stores. I did get a sample with a different purchase of AA Mandarine Basilic. I fell in love and ordered a full bottle before Christmas last year...only a month into my fragrance rebirth! I have over 100 bottles in my collection now. I do have a small focus on older fragrances I "missed out on" because I was only wearing my signature scent for 40+ years. I'm just now coming around to appreciate Chanel fragrances and expanding my Chanel fragrances...but I don't have a Chanel fragrance boutique in my region, sadly, so I am limited to sampling the main-line Chanel fragrances that they carry in department stores like Dillard's and Nordstrom. (I did switch over to Chanel fiundation and skincare as summer was turning to fall.) I plan to order a 200 ml bottle of Chanel No 5 before the price increases in the New Year...which in my mind is a bit crazy because for DECADES, I could not abide the aldehydic overdose in that fragrance...but somehow, I've begun to enjoy it. That larger bottle should last me the rest of my life.
@@joannathesinger770 Miss Dior Cherie was my favourite perfume for many years and like yourself I also missed out on fragrance as I mainly wore my signature scent (plus a few others) Mon Guerlain was a new discovery for me and I absolutely fell in love with it.
