+Applegeek This was a great episode; really enjoyed it although with Rarity episodes I don't think she had a bad one. Even in season one when she was my least favorite pony I laughed like crazy when I saw A Dog and Pony Show. (That episode is what I believe helped make me become a Rarity fan).But yeah this episode was great; the jokes all hit loved all the point of views from the ponies when they were I think at a café; just everything hit and the ending was very sweet. Great reaction and can't wait for more. XD Mm with the Pinkie Pie clone, there's a lot of speculation that it was just a Changeling since people are assuming that Queen Chrysalis is coming back. And you're going to be meeting the voice actors of the Apple family? I'm so jealous! Wish I could go to a pony con. I don't have any money and they're normally far away from where I live which sucks. This episode to me was the best this season and a top-tier I think for MLP as a whole. The comedy, entertainment, character interactions, and episode format were on point. To me, this episode was excellent. As for the Pinkie clone, ""Jim Miller was asked "Are we gonna see more of THAT one Pinkie Pie from today's episode?" and replied "No plans. It was a gag." This is by far one of the best episodes this season IMO, was by far one of the more entertaining ones each of the mane 6 had their moments to shine, this is probably my second favorite Rarity episode, I'm still waiting for an Applejack episode, nice reaction
Glad to finally see your reaction for this episode! rarity is my no.1 absolute favorite pony and although canterlot boutique is still my favorite episode as it's relatable as a fashion designer myself(scratch that, almost all rarity episodes are relatable for me as an artist and fashion designer) this episode had high entertainment value and I thoroughly enjoyed it myself! This episode may have a lot of humor, but it also shows some realism in how fashion designers of set up their store and brand, which I appreciate for. The name saddle row is a reference to Saville row from the looks if it, and it's true that in the fashion industry everything has to be perfect as first impressions are everything- all must be professional if you don't want your name to be tainted because reality works like that-.- Anyways, I really enjoyed your reaction to this episode! looking forward to the next one!

The writers are doing a terrific job of presenting real-life scenarios in the episodes this season. In any case, although Rarity started off as my least favorite of the Mane 6, she has really grown on me as she matured over the seasons. I'm really glad to see things going well for her.
+Applegeek I know what you mean, in the beginning she wasn't my favorite either, but her character is unique. Rather than just a 'girly self-centered fashionista' stereotype in most shows, she represents us in the art and fashion industry and we people in the art an fashion department can relate to her in many ways, either in the dramatic flair, love of beauty, passion in work and many others. Unique characterization is one of the reasons why mlp is such an amazing show and I bet you can agree on that:D
The only nitpick that I had with this episode was that Starlight wasn't in it. I know we've already had quite a few amazing Starlight episodes but I would've like to see her interact with the rest of the Mane 6 and not as a focus but apart of the group, ya know? +OmegaChimera Never would have caught the Pulp Fiction reference, haven't seen that movie. As for Starlight, it honestly didn't even occur to me that she wasn't present. I like her a lot, of course, but I'm fine with her not being around all the time. This was really the first episode of this season, at least since the premiere, where we got to see all the Mane 6 working together on something, which I've kind of been missing, sort of a "the gang's all back together again!" moment. Starlight currently fits better in episodes where the focus can be on her for learning a friendship lesson. Besides, she was the center of the last episode. ;)

I just feel like; if Starlight is now part of the main cast then she should be part of the main cast. If she doesn't, then eventually she'll start feeling like a gimmick. She'll only appear when she's needs to and no more, know what I mean? I'm getting the feeling that she's going to be a key point in the season finale doing something amazing or other and maybe even with the ponies she's meeting throughout her episodes (i.e. Sunburst and Trixie). But if that's the case then she would've been just the gimmick of season 6. And I would like to see just a few episodes where she was just around the others as part of the group to make her feel less so.

She's a character of significance, but she's still a student under Twilight, and she's not a bearer of any of the Elements of Harmony, the significance of which is of course questionable at this point, but I still believe they are relevant in some way. I do see your point though, would be nice to see her together with the group for something. Oh well, plenty of season left to go, just have to see what happens. And yes, I do believe she'll play a big part in the finale.

Whoa.... I just realized... You went to the SAME (And unfortunately last) Mid-West Brony Fest I did and I saw the EXACT SAME PANEL!! But that was before I officially became a Brony... In fact, it really was checking out the convention (For fun and an adventure with my best friends) that made me more interested and curious in the fandom and show. (I was mostly neutral before, I didn't hate it, but didn't care for it) After that weekend, I promptly binge-watched the entire show up to the latest episode, and have been a strong MLP fan ever since! :D Unfortunately, I can't say I recognized you there, as I wasn't a fan or watching reaction vids even lol, but thank you for being a part of that convention. It really opened my mind and eyes to see things in a different light and a whole new slew of friends and fun! Brohoof again sir! /) I hope to eventually release more pony-related content on my own UA-cam channel here. So I look to you past, present, future and aspiring reactors, musicians, writers, animators and voice-actors to inspire me with regards to that. Anyhay, enough ramblin'. Aw man, too bad we didn't get to meet, but I'm glad you enjoyed the convention, despite all the chaos there caused by the weather and whatnot. If you're interested in more conventions, I would strongly recommend that you come to Everfree Northwest this May, if you can make it. I will be there, and I think it's gonna be one of the best MLP conventions of this year, if not of all time. I might go to one other convention besides that, just not sure yet how finances will work out.

I don't think Twilight has OCD; it seems more like Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder. The two are similar in involving a preoccupation and need for order and neatness, but there is a vital difference. People with OCD recognize that their behavior is irrational and negative but have to do their rituals and such to get rid of anxiety and unwanted thoughts, while people with OCPD do not believe there is anything abnormal with their obsessions and complusions and actually see them as good and desirable. Twilight never seems to feel frustrated with her need to do certain things or think that her obsessions are at all negative or harmful, so it seems clear to me that she has an outright personality disorder rather than just an anxiety disorder. Of course, that is just my opinion on how I interpret her behavior. Feel free to disagree if you view things differently.

You don't even know how much I'm kicking myself for missing the Pinkie clone! Seriously, knowing how I reacted when I DID see it, I probably would have had to pause the video during the reaction to freak out for a minute. Glad to know I'm not the only one that missed it at least. I'm finding that it is really hard to do these reactions. I have to listen to the actual story, try to remember names of new characters, watch for background ponies and other references, and try to think of good and/or witty comments to insert here and there, while not also missing critical details. Inevitably, I always miss something really good somewhere. Just to toss in an additional thought that occurred to me later, I realized that with all the references to past lessons in this episode, I completely forgot to call out that Rainbow Dash trying to choose a salespony was sort of a callback to May the Best Pet Win. Oh, and yeah, I admit I've noticed not seeing your comments, but I understand being too busy. I myself seem to have gone from having no life to being too busy to even get in a reaction here or there during the week, and the stress of having such a huge request list is starting to get to me. I'm just not even responding to requests anymore, for now at least. I can't wait for the mid-season hiatus so I can have some time to catch up on fan content.
Applegeek Don't worry, I realize how hard the reaction business is (although I don't do it myself). But whatever you do, you're doing it very well, and you are one of my favorite reactors, in the top 3 for sure! :) So you don't need to change anything. As for the missing details, yeah, everyone misses stuff every now and then, I do that too (that's one of the reasons I watch reactions - because if I missed something, someone else might have noticed it). One of the good points of your reactions (besides those very insightful afterthoughts) is the fact that you rewatch the episode once again to be better prepared for your afterthoughts and catch the details you missed. So it pretty much makes up for that. Hmm... maybe it would suffice to record this rewatch too, and then just use the best fragments of it in your afterthoughts? Just a thought...

+Elana Schwartz No, the spoon gloves don't make sense, because while you have one on, you can't put that hoof on the ground, because the spoons protrude past the end of the hoof, meaning you'd be mashing the spoons into the ground. I actually question why ponies need spoons anyway, but whatever. Vinyl Scratch is a fan name, considered to be her "real" name, with DJ-PON3 being her stage name. Hasbro seems to only use the DJ-PON3 name within the show though, so that's basically her official canon name. It doesn't really sound like a pony name to me though, so to me, she will always be Vinyl Scratch.
So ponies (except for unicorn and their magic) can use spoons without the need to hold it in their mouths, if its designed specifically for their hooves.

I just feel like; if Starlight is now part of the main cast then she should be part of the main cast. If she doesn't, then eventually she'll start feeling like a gimmick. She'll only appear when she's needs to and no more, know what I mean?
I'm getting the feeling that she's going to be a key point in the season finale doing something amazing or other and maybe even with the ponies she's meeting throughout her episodes (i.e. Sunburst and Trixie). But if that's the case then she would've been just the gimmick of season 6. And I would like to see just a few episodes where she was just around the others as part of the group to make her feel less so.
+OmegaChimera I wouldn't go so far as to say Starlight is part of the main cast. She's a character of significance, but she's still a student under Twilight, and she's not a bearer of any of the Elements of Harmony, the significance of which is of course questionable at this point, but I still believe they are relevant in some way. I do see your point though, would be nice to see her together with the group for something. Oh well, plenty of season left to go, just have to see what happens. And yes, I do believe she'll play a big part in the finale.

Whoa.... I just realized... You went to the SAME (And unfortunately last) Mid-West Brony Fest I did and I saw the EXACT SAME PANEL!! But that was before I officially became a Brony... In fact, it really was checking out the convention (For fun and an adventure with my best friends) that made me more interested and curious in the fandom and show. (I was mostly neutral before, I didn't hate it, but didn't care for it) After that weekend, I promptly binge-watched the entire show up to the latest episode, and have been a strong MLP fan ever since! :D
Unfortunately, I can't say I recognized you there, as I wasn't a fan or watching reaction vids even lol, but thank you for being a part of that convention. It really opened my mind and eyes to see things in a different light and a whole new slew of friends and fun! Brohoof again sir! /)
I hope to eventually release more pony-related content on my own UA-cam channel here. So I look to you past, present, future and aspiring reactors, musicians, writers, animators and voice-actors to inspire me with regards to that.

Aw man, too bad we didn't get to meet, but I'm glad you enjoyed the convention, despite all the chaos there caused by the weather and whatnot. If you're interested in more conventions, I would strongly recommend that you come to Everfree Northwest this May, if you can make it. I will be there, and I think it's gonna be one of the best MLP conventions of this year, if not of all time. I might go to one other convention besides that, just not sure yet how finances will work out.

I don't think Twilight has OCD; it seems more like Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder. The two are similar in involving a preoccupation and need for order and neatness, but there is a vital difference. People with OCD recognize that their behavior is irrational and negative but have to do their rituals and such to get rid of anxiety and unwanted thoughts, while people with OCPD do not believe there is anything abnormal with their obsessions and complusions and actually see them as good and desirable.
Twilight never seems to feel frustrated with her need to do certain things or think that her obsessions are at all negative or harmful, so it seems clear to me that she has an outright personality disorder rather than just an anxiety disorder.
Of course, that is just my opinion on how I interpret her behavior. Feel free to disagree if you view things differently.

The wording was "Mare-Do-Well"s as a callback to that one episode more than anything else. Considering that the reporter was based off of the Spider-Man character, its a possible reference there because RD was technically a superhero in that episode with a costume and everything with the name 'Mare-Do-Well', so its like how the Spider-Man character talks about Spider-Man.

+Wolfee Dejay Page is right, the whole episode was essentially a flashback, BUT, remember that in season 1 we had the fall Running of the Leaves festival (Fall Weather Friends) right after Winter Wrap Up, so it's not without precedent. When it comes to the MLP timeline, all I can say is, wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey. :D FYI, my personal head canon is that the timeline was fractured by all of Starlight's time loops, and it's still trying to move things around to repair itself, which is why we keep seeing events out of order. XD

BTW sorry that I don't comment under your videos more often, as I used to do. I don't always have enough time to do it up to my standards. But keep in mind that I always watch your reactions as soon as possible, because they are always great and insightful, which I really enjoy.
You don't even know how much I'm kicking myself for missing the Pinkie clone! Seriously, knowing how I reacted when I DID see it, I probably would have had to pause the video during the reaction to freak out for a minute. Glad to know I'm not the only one that missed it at least. I'm finding that it is really hard to do these reactions. I have to listen to the actual story, try to remember names of new characters, watch for background ponies and other references, and try to think of good and/or witty comments to insert here and there, while not also missing critical details. Inevitably, I always miss something really good somewhere.
Just to toss in an additional thought that occurred to me later, I realized that with all the references to past lessons in this episode, I completely forgot to call out that Rainbow Dash trying to choose a salespony was sort of a callback to May the Best Pet Win.
Oh, and yeah, I admit I've noticed not seeing your comments, but I understand being too busy. I myself seem to have gone from having no life to being too busy to even get in a reaction here or there during the week, and the stress of having such a huge request list is starting to get to me. I'm just not even responding to requests anymore, for now at least. I can't wait for the mid-season hiatus so I can have some time to catch up on fan content.
Applegeek Don't worry, I realize how hard the reaction business is (although I don't do it myself). But whatever you do, you're doing it very well, and you are one of my favorite reactors, in the top 3 for sure! :) So you don't need to change anything. As for the missing details, yeah, everyone misses stuff every now and then, I do that too (that's one of the reasons I watch reactions - because if I missed something, someone else might have noticed it). One of the good points of your reactions (besides those very insightful afterthoughts) is the fact that you rewatch the episode once again to be better prepared for your afterthoughts and catch the details you missed. So it pretty much makes up for that. Hmm... maybe it would suffice to record this rewatch too, and then just use the best fragments of it in your afterthoughts? Just a thought...
+Bon Bon The thought did occur to me, though the "re-watch" occurs as I'm running through the editing process, adjusting volume levels and adding the text notes and stuff, so it would be difficult to record that. Oh well, just have to try to do better next time. I think I also did this one too soon after waking up, wasn't fully energized yet. Next episode should be interesting though, because I'll be hyped up from the con. :D

(Okay, seemingly many earth ponies have tactile telekinesis, so they could hold a spoon with a hoof anyway, but most ponies would hold it with their mouth, which only helps for feeding someone else)
+Elana Schwartz No, the spoon gloves don't make sense, because while you have one on, you can't put that hoof on the ground, because the spoons protrude past the end of the hoof, meaning you'd be mashing the spoons into the ground. I actually question why ponies need spoons anyway, but whatever. And yeah, I actually have a theory about how hooves work for earth ponies and whatnot, just don't have time to type it all out right now.

Vinyl Scratch is a fan name, considered to be her "real" name, with DJ-PON3 being her stage name. Hasbro seems to only use the DJ-PON3 name within the show though, so that's basically her official canon name. It doesn't really sound like a pony name to me though, so to me, she will always be Vinyl Scratch.
