Hello! I love this. Can you give me tips on what bare bones hardware to buy? This looks like a slick setup but I have limited funds and tons of talent. Tysm
The one presented here is roughly 2500-3000 USD (converted from european prices, in US it's probably cheaper) or more; i have no idea about Pioneer mixer price. If you want a do-it-all in a single box, consider Roland SP 404 MKII (the sampler presented here). It has everything: playing/recording samples, midi (connect a cheap controller or use it as controller itself), effects, line in/out (connect microphone, guitar, any other instrument, another synth, even use just as an effects box), sequencer (create entire songs, albums even), synthesizer (with one of recent updates, you can now generate sound and e.g. create own basslines) and much, much more (even live DJ mode). It's actively updated, Roland listens to their customers and keeps on improving the product, adding new feautres. Oh, and of course it's a mad beat machine, with pads serving as finger drum. Actually, it's kinda main purpose of it: making sample-based beats using velocity pads for live recording ;) Check out owner's manual from Roland website to get an idea of how feature-packed it is.
if you really want this setup go go bonkers, plug a qu-16 in there and do per channel eqing, compression, limiting, side chaining and group outing with multiple fx sends and recallable scene setups that move the faders into position on switch.. for a lower cost option, use a small analog grouping mixer with an FX send and use something like a small sidechaining/master compressor lke the portico RNC or comparable devices
In theory yes, all of the individual instruments he showed have their own in-built sequencer. So you would have to sequence all the notes you want on their individual sequencer and sync them together so they all Play on Time when you hit play. ONLY thing is that The keyboard would Only be able to control 1 of the synthesizer Only and not all of them how it's showing in the video.
@@dustykid100 that you that has been very helpful I've been looking to build a setup like this bur with just the keyboard and mixer so you can't see the synths so it's nice and neat
What's cool is you can get the same functional out of practical any modern DAW. 💻 I recommend a midi keyboard 🎹, a 2013 MacBook pro 💻 and a pirated version of Logic pro for authenticity. 🏴☠💽
Some people, that for example spend entire day in front of a computer screen (day job etc.), like to go hardware-only route when it comes to making music (hobby, relax, spare/free tme). After all, you want to take a break from computers (especially if you work in IT).

@@jaylow759 brilliant thanks. That’s what grimes used to use on her live sets back in the day. Love Roland’s. Tysmn
Cool demo! You should be avoiding the red line audio clipping on the mixer tho.
Can you show the connection of your behringer poly d, jnlive to dig more on that

Or just buy a Blue Box :D
Can the sampler put effects on the synths and drum machines or just the samples?
Please tell me you have the second beat recorded 😭 I need that
How would you record a live electronic set up like this?
Demo song 2 is the one !!!! 😂
❤🎉
This video is just fucking great.
Can u tell me what genre is this, like the tempo and kick what genre is it?
1. Search the web for: tap tempo
2. Play the video
3. Tap tempo to the beat, with your hand
4. ????
5. PROFIT!
I still don’t understand how MIDI works. It has always baffled me.
can this all be done without the oxi one and just the keyboard

Or you can get a 100 USD po33 pocket operator and do that on the move😂
Overpriced for a calculator 🤣
Tu nous as pris pour des cons avec ton titre? 😂
Not a DJ set up, with a dj mixer lol
Get a mixing desk then.....
You don’t understand the spirit of electronic music.
This is way better than a mixing setup
Mixer is a mixer, there are no CDJs connected to it, so what's the difference? lol
Not a fan of fast beats
Oh no... Well, luckily, there's tempo knob on most of the gear.
Gabe Miller wannabe

sure, thats classic too! haha... although having a setup like this is way cooler 🙂

The people would come back to the real instruments.
The unique way to keep music in your hands.
That's the reason because I'm DAWLESS..🎹🎛️
