In the video 7:47 you have your receive RF gain turned down. You can see it on the screen above the signal meter labeled RFG. Hexbeam is an amazing antenna. I also have NA4RR.
@@Only_HamsOnly Hams sounds much better than Only Fans. Joking aside, I really like your Pota activities and have subscribed to your channel. 73s and a big compliment from Germany
@@13HN870 thank you,I appreciate that, I'm still trying out different things to see what people want to see. I might do a live stream if I get enough subscribers, I think it's still too low at the moment. Thanks for watching and thanks for subscribing. Hopefully we can get out and do some POTA this weekend so I can upload some more videos.
Thanks for watching, yes it's working fantastic, worked some south American stations on 10m today, very low noise even with all the Christmas lights running in the neighborhood! I'm very pleased with it.
@@magnitudematrix2653 yeah I specifically bought a home that isn't in HOA because although I know it's legal I couldn't be bothered with potential hassle of dealing with that.
It's an odd ball from the 80's. Made in New Jersey called an Orion 360. I have a video of it on my channel. It was never used in the original box. I don't expect it to last that long to be honest but it was free.
@@peterfairlie2296 probably! Anyway it's been sitting in a box since I think 1983 until I put it on the tower so I don't know how long it's going to last but it was that or no rotor. Hopefully I can pick up something better in the future before it fails.
@@Only_Hams It's always cool to see obscure technology like this, especially from the 1980's, thanks for sharing! Seems to be working well for you too.
Cool, should last forever then, touch wood, fingers x'ed, etc. The towers that I've put up, I bolt them to the ground and to the side of building. Cut off at roof level, and weld in the hinge at that point. Then make an A Frame to lower the top section into out in the yard, so the tower sits horizontal but off the gound when its down. Happy days.
OK Need to S L O W D O W N with the camera sweeps .. I'm getting motion Sickness .. zoom out to get the full shots . .it looks good but slow down the camera work
Yeah I'll try, when I edit I keep thinking "man it looks like a dad recording a kids play, too much zooming in and out" 😆. I'm still learning. Thanks for watching. Sorry for the camera work.

Yep, I usually have my gain low, no point in amplifying noise, I only turn it up for the higher frequencies like 10m and 6m.
Good Jo 💯👏👏👏👌🙋♂
Überall ist Günter ich aber auch😅
@13HN870 everywhere but my log book, I've never worked him 😆

I wish i was your neighbor. It's glorious.
LOL, I'm not sure my neighbors feel the same way although it's mostly hidden by trees for the them 😆. Thanks for watching, 73's
@Only_Hams In the USA you don't have to worry about HOA.
There's definitely HOA rules against it in the US but I don't live in an HOA.
@@Only_Hams You don't have to obey it. Supreme Court has ruled. As long as you dont violate interference ordnance like sound your fine.

What kind of rotor is that? The only one that I ever seen that was pass-through like that was the classic Alliance Model U-100 Tenna-Rotor.

@@Only_Hams It's almost like this New Jersey company back in the 80's was trying to copy the U-100 design.

Which model HEX BEAM are u using, pchsed from ???🤔 And yes, a big, big difference, noise floor down, signals up, great combo!!!😃🇺🇸
NA44RR , just Google "NA4RR Hexagonal Beam" and you will find his website. You can purchase it from there but he always has a waiting list.
Nice install. Show some more work on the bands when you have the time.
Will do, thanks for watching.
😎👍
Should have filled that rotator with graphite grease befor putting it up.
I took it apart and greased it before I put it up.
