- Heroes of the west is a Red Orchestra 2 mod focusing on the western front. You can download it directly in steam.
Important notes: The Enfield sniper carries 10 rounds but the empty reload is the same as the regular reload so I didn't bother shooting all 10 rounds for video's sake.
There is an STG44 in this game but you have to unlock it. If you've played Red Orchestra 2 you're not missing any thing. It's literally the MKb42 except with a closed bolt. Same animations, textures, and every thing. - Ігри

You should be able to piss on the barrel to cool it down before you could remove it. And you could assist your teammates by pissing on their barrels.
In Red Orchestra 2,machinegunner player model wore gloves.So this mod better do the same thing.

That Gewehr Sniper's visual recoil looks like you'd get a black eye every time you shoot it when you're scoped in.

Ahhhh getting call of duty II flashbacks. I hope more theater mods come out, I want to play as an Italian Falgore taking on the Brits in Egypt. Or some Vichy French at least.
Should have used a Webley instead of the Browning HP.
Pseudocommando I mean the Browning HP was standard issue and Wesleys are completely obsolete by the time they entered WW2, but yet they are still reliable...
The Organizer127 it was only used by the Commonwealth at the tail end of the war. The Webley would fit much better.

The STG44 unlock is only level 2 elite assault in HOTW btw. One round online with bots and you can get it. But yeah pretty much the same as the mkb. Though animations are different. Being closed bolt and all.

Hope you're right. Also the M1 Carbine should become the M1A1 Carbine in maps where you fight as a US Airborne soldier (like Carentan).

When you showcase the american guns, that cafe on the end of the road and the road you're laying down isn't a reference from Band of Brothers Carentan Attack episode?

BREN gun ejects shell casings from the bottom of the gun, so you get a pile of shells where you were..... not flying sideways out and massive distance away.

I hate how the Enfields bolt is so slow
Faster than all the other bolt actions in the game. Problem all other bolt actions in game are slow too. So making the Enfield bolt as fast as possible while the other bolt actions don't bolt as fast as possible would be silly.

It's a lot slower than the Mosin, Mauser and Arisaka. It's kind of on par with the Springfield, which is the slowest bolt in the game.

lee enfield should have a higher rate of fire and quicker return to scope time considering how you barely have to move your head when you cycle the bolt
It's already the fastest bolt action in game.
TheWhoamaters if you turn on manual bolting you can make all the bolt actions faster. imo the lee enfield is already plenty fast in its current state.

The reloading animation of the Piat MK1 made me chuckle.
With the self cocking mechanism that's pretty much how you reload it. Don't have to pull back the massive spring.

Kinton Ho it's the lighting problem, since the G43 (Which is the only gun with the "black case) was modelled by another person, likely the quality have suffered, this is apparent when you look at the aforementioned G43 and M3A1, which has decent animations but still somewhat poor lighting on the texture

the Enfield bolt cycle sound is reused from Medal of Honor Allied Assault's kar98...and im ok with that
Well I'm afraid it isn't. Uses some unused RS and RO2 sounds.
im pretty sure it is from MoHAA, lots of sounds from that game and others are re-used in modern games
Well I'm the one who had to pick sounds and I didn't want to steal from other games. Found some bolting sounds in the SDK that weren't used by any other guns and used them for the enfield. Even though it doesn't sound like an enfield bolting it does sound quite meaty. I just banked on not many people owning a rifle with a Lee bolting system lol.

I've played MoHAA a lot and the Lee-Enfield here doesn't sound like the Kar 98k at all.
Was the M712 just a modified version of the C96? Never seen anything like it.
It's the C96 but it has a 20 round detachable magazine, and fully automatic capabilities

The M712 was invented in the 1930's so putting it in Battlefield 1 would make no sense at all (but when has that ever stopped DICE amiright?).
Roland Deschain The game is already historically inaccurate and they're lacking content. I wouldn't be shocked if they started throwing WW2 weapons into the game; even if they community goes crazy.

That's not the KF1 reload sound. That's very different. It's literally just the rising storm trench gun.

The M1 Garand was designed by a Canadian, but you dont hear it being referred to as a an Canadian gun.
