    Hey, Nick. Thanks for stating the loop wasn't as smooth as you had hoped. I showed you the teardrop wall bar I made today; however, I also made two drum tables and I wasn't happy with how smooth those came together. It is always nice to realize my challenges aren't always unique to me. What I love about woodworking is growing - every day. It was GREAT to meet you today. Your poignant stories were so impactful and inspiring. I can't imagine how hard the prep was for the session, but you impacted the entire audience in ways you'll never imagine. I'll certainly be following you from this point forward.

    The router knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isnt. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation.

    Nick, I liked this video because it was a "doesn't matter if it turns out sucky" concept test. After watching you voodoo s**t into existence that is flawless and mind-blowing, it's an interesting palate cleanser. I don't know how much weight that lamp body will support, but in some of my lighting projects, I used very thin plexiglass that I sanded with 220 or 320 (don't remember). It diffuses the LED light perfectly, and doesn't accidentally rip. Also, I'm in agreement with your stance on b**bs.

    Fascinating work and an even better video! I'm 25 and have been woodworking from a very young age. Recently I have been feeling like creative design and handcrafting can't be appreciated because of the "CNC side of woodworking". How to justify the time it takes to make something by hand and with love when it can be produced by CNC and with no skill?

    • @SawyerDesign
      @SawyerDesign  Рік тому +1

      Thanks Aron! CNC definitely takes skill, it’s just a tool to help achieve precision and scale a business. I personally like the idea of saving the time for the hand work where it matters and finding efficiencies where it doesn’t. CNC isn’t really different from a planer to thickness material, at least how I’d use one.
