      Which month was this shot in? It looks cold? I would like to visit when weather is bright and sunny but not peak summer. When do you recommend?

      あなたは「Come to Korea!」とは言わなくてもいいの?
      あなたの元祖国の韓国の観光業は、今ちょっと苦しいでしょ?
      私は韓国のキムチや焼き肉文化は大好きです。

    In typical Tourist 2 Townie fashion, you continue to show us more of the real Tokyo through a locals eyes!

    The last time I was in Tokyo, I stayed at a hotel in Shin Okubo ( Koreatown). It was a nice area especially at night. There was a cool evening vibe and the food was good. Thank you Gareth for this video. It brought back happy memories of my stay in that area. I hope I can come back next year.

    I love this clip. There is nothing better than seeing new places, like the locals, and missing the tourist traps! I try and do the locals places wherever travel! And being a foodie my stomach was grumbling, watching this haha.

    Once again, fascinating video but this one brings back many fond memories of when I visited Japan numerous times years ago...I wasn't as adventurous as you on the eating front but I did learn to eat octopus...thanks again for your work.

    I used to hate natto, but after trying it several times (adding a little sugar and salt on it), now i love it. I eat it plain or with the spicy mustard and sweet soy sauce that comes in the frozen packages of it. I honestly eat it daily and sometimes with udon. It's an acquired taste for sure, but definitely one a person can become acclimated to and come to love!

    Omg! Why didn't I watch this before going to Japan?! I literally just came back to the states yesterday. And one of the places I stayed at was in Shinjiku and I even told my husband we should go to Korean town but I didn't know where it was. Ugh.

  • @jinkim96
    @jinkim96 7 років тому +2

    Korea town in Japan... Didn't expect that :P especially when the political aspects of those two countries aren't really... Well, let's say it isn't "well". Fells good to see that kind of thing bonding these two countries!

    • @SK-oj3pj
      @SK-oj3pj 7 років тому +4

      Well, political issues shouldn't let ordinary people of both countries hate each other,
      I feel sad to see so much hate exist between us and Korea.
      I am Japanese and my family have been coming to K-town since I was a kid for shopping and dining.
      I have many Korean friends in Korea and one of them is visiting me from Busan next month. We are planning on hanging out in K-town. Lots of good restaurants and shops there!

    "That Japanese man Yuta" is not a Japanese original. I think so.
    Maybe, he is a former Korean naturalized in Japan. Ordinary Japanese men have not thought that Korean men are very beautiful. Korea has the culture of cosmetic surgery,
    and Many Koreans have surgery.But many Japanese do not hoping too much cosmetic surgery. Japanese and Korean culture and mentality are completely different.
    「That Japanese man Yuta」は元々は日本人ではない。私はそう思っている。
    彼は日本に帰化した元韓国・朝鮮人でしょう。普通の日本人の男性は、韓国の男性が
    とても美しい、とは考えてない。韓国には美容整形をする文化があり、多くの韓国人が
    手術を受ける。しかし多くの日本人は過度な美容整形は望んでいない。
    日本人と韓国人の文化や精神性は、全然異なっています。
