Oia, Santorini is the "jewel in the crown" of the Greek Islands. It does look like it. Evening walks are always a different experience and Oia, Santorini is no exception. The crowds at the sunset are awesome. Some people don't like crowd but I do. I think it adds something to a town or city, makes it more believable.
The sunset was stunning.I loved the view as well as seeing so many tourist enjoying their evening walk. The sounds of voices, beautiful white buildings, and shops makes we want to visit.

You have a fine eye for capturing the beautiful 'human' assets of a village, city, hilltop town etc. etc.....be it Italian or Greek

Great memories! We arrived by cruise ship in Santorini, walked along the coastal path to Oia then returned back to Santorini via bus. After which we walked down the zig zag donkey path to the dock. Fun fun day! 💕

Wow, Isaac. I guess all those people have never seen a sunset ! Would like to visit Greece, but not with all those crowds. I have seen videos of Athens, and was shocked of all the graffitti. 😣The outer islands hopefully less graffitti. Excellent video. Stay safe. ⛴⛴⛴

We are back in Greece!? Out of Italy!? Huh? Looks like the Greek Gods and Goddesses were in a somber mood. And splashed everything white. You cannot miss this town from the seaward side. You might also think the seagulls had a field day on the rocks.

Yeah, I just walk the whole with the camera out front. At the end of the day I am pretty tired and sore but it's not too bad. I've walked 10-15 miles in a day before. ...as long as I have good shoe inserts I am okay. :)

I don't think the island is crowded, but it is at certain places, at certain times, such as Oia

The island with a 1000 names. Take your pick. No zip code needed. 80 F at 8 PM! Yeowl! At the Panoramic Viewpoint people looking like penguins at feeding time
Sitting on rocks, stones, every crevice toehold, tiny ledge. etc. etc.. fully occupied. Some local should be peddling prime spots.at 20 Euros a piece.
Wir waren 1998 dort es war wunderschön aber da war nicht so viel los, wenn man das so sieht, würde ich heute nicht mehr dorthin wollen.

I prefer Rhodes. Santorini didn't do it for me. Way too overcrowded when I went.
Sorry, but I'm very sad about this video. I have been to the Greek islands, many times. And on Santorini/Oia 5-6 times, over the last 30 years. And for every time, it is getting more and more destroyd. The last time I was in Oia, was about 10 years ago. First time, in about 30 years ago. For every time, I see that the original and old buildings are being modernized. Not to maintain buildings, but to make them look smart an contemporary. Art, jewels, clothes, etc. with prices that only attract tourists, with money. Everything has become extremely expensive. That includes restaurants and quite ordinary grocers. Hotels are no longer something, that people with an average income can pay. So once again, a place that used to be affordable, with original buildings and with prices for all people, is now taken over by the elite. All stores now appear super modern, with pitiful music and totally inflated prices. Unfortunately, all the original Greek identity and architecture, now eradicated, and in favor of modern, superficial shopping stores. Glad I got to experience it before being ruined. The view from Oia beyond the caldera, no one can ruin though. But otherwise my beloved city , Oia, is forever ruined by greed. What a shame 😓
I still have an islands, not so far from Santorini. This Island still keeps it originality and old Greek architecture and folklore. There is beautifull sights, pristine beaches, old extremely romantic and cozy towns and not a lot of tourists. And the prices, is on an affordable level.
But, NO. I want to keep it for my self and my family. And will under no circumstance, inform its name and location.
Its my secret garden. The Eden of greek islands 🌞🇬🇷
