A lot of tears were shed this episode, and my my heart was aching by the end.

Que canta puras canciones de México.., y medianamente aceptables adaptaciones, como esta, de la bossa nova del gran brasileño Cayetano Beloso en el film del hispano Pedro Almodovar, adaptación magnífica (tal vez mejor cantada que en su versión original, la de mi patria) de una de las más populares canciones mexicanas
I was very impressed that Orange is the New Black added the immigration story to the final season. Kudos to the writers. Educating others about the inhumanity of it all is vital. Tear jerking season.

It's a Mexican song; not Spanish.
A Diaspora is a migration of large groups of people who bring their culture with them and fuse it with the existing culture. As far as I remember from history it was the Spanish who colonized Mejico? Hence my expression.

OITNB, S7E11 God bless America. SPOILER - I have emblazoned in my memory the image of Fig passing the “abort” pill to the immigrant in the detention center. Doesn’t matter that neither speak each other’s language. No words are needed. Fig’s character growth has flipped a 180° From the beginning of the series. A gruff, non-caring, no nonsense, warden to helping a fellow woman in need. Pure humanity. Joe Caputo’s compassion has finally rubbed off on Fig.
