Always watch, rarely comment - everyone else says it all. However, had to on this one. You ROCK!!! You rock as a pilot and you rock as a UA-camr. The complexity (and possibly stress) you had to manage on that approach as a single pilot jet pilot was off the charts. Glad you arrived safe. Thanks for all you do to keep us entertained and informed.

these videos help me as well. but the most help was "flying" on the computer with Microsoft Flight Sim. At the very least you learn the sounds from the plane and some of the reasons for the engine noises and speed etc. aileron movements etc.

@@urbanothepopeofdeath MS Flight Sym is Good BUT until you actually Break out at Minumes with a half mile Visibility (IN A COLD SWEET) For Real ... AhH Well All I can say is no sym Can match it. In real life there's no DO OVERS.

Max, you possessed remarkable composure in that landing. That was the best landing I've ever seen by a single pilot with extremely poor visibility conditions. While we work hard to master instrument landings, it's nice to have visual confirmation of just how well we are doing. You mastered that landing without having visual confirmation until the last 15 seconds. Know your instruments & guidance systems, trust them, and use them. That was a superb job Max!
UPDATE: After commenting last evening on your excellent landing performance, I woke up to news of a Cessna Business Jet crash in Southern California. All due to foggy conditions & limited visibility. I read the pilot performed a go around & crashed on his 2nd attempt to land. After watching your approach under poor visibility conditions, it's critical every pilot learn & trust his ILS. It's a shame all onboard that plane perished. There wasn't much information available at 7am this morning. I'll watch for additional info throughout the day.

It's always a great flight with you Max. Jackson Hole can be tricky. Went on a ski trip a few years back, landing at night, in heavy snow, strong crosswind in a 737. He crabbed in and dragged a wingtip on the snow covered runway. Luckily we got in safely. The pilot was unfazed. He told me that during ski season, He was a little surprised when I told him that he had dragged a wing. Safe flights always.

Such a beautiful takeoff at my hometown. Alot of people think New York is very busy in aviation... and it is... but the Pacific Northwest has its fair share of challenges too with SeaTac, Boeing, Auburn, Tacoma Narrows and McChord and the two main hospitals with medivac helicopters, all within 25 miles of each other... making it quite the challenge for any air traffic controller. Loved the landing as well... definitely a white knuckle one for sure.
