my dear brother used to play me this song on the piano every time he would leave for Afghanistan. his middle name was Jude so the song had a special place in my heart. he was shot 3 months ago and this song still brings me a tear, it was the last thing i remember with him. thank you for making him feel alive

Actually, I think your rendition is unique to you and by the way... You have a vocal quality that is artistic/musical (timbre & sensitive phrasing). No need to try to sound like anyone else because you actually do have an "it" factor in your own natural voice. No need to add any affection whatsoever. You got it! Just keep on singing and enjoying what you're doing. Seriously, just keep singing and playing whatever you love to sing & play. Sing it how it feels natural to sing it. (Emulation is good too but only if you don't beat yourself up about not sounding exactly like the original. We already have the original! Your voice is yours and is just as valid as another musical voice - because yours is, in fact, musical, too.) All the very best to you. According to my dad it originally said hey Jules but it seemed too forced so they change it to Jude, I don’t know if this is true but my dad has called me Jules ever since I can remember. This song means a lot to me, my dad has become absent emotionally for years now and this song is the only way I can remember how it felt like to be loved by him. Now I think I dedicate it to myself. I’m learning to love myself, Jules.
