I miss this era of guitar youtube. This, Dorje, Jared Dines regularly posting, and Rob Chapman at his peak. A lot of new players in the game now and they are all great, but I just miss parts of this.
***** never played one, always wanted to have a bash on one though. I love that start, but you have to fight for every lick beyond what would be considered comfortable.
Is it because it has a fat neck? Im finding it hard to play on strats and les pauls because of that, especially after growing up shredding on RGs. Also great playing. Wish i could see you, guys, on tour, but i have exams. :( Good luck.)
So brilliant. Rabea is an endless fountain of groove. All three of these guys are playing at such a high level. They're living their craft. It's obviously everything to them. And DAMN is the music good.
Dave Hollingworth has the best damned bass tone in the world. Every video I watch with him playing just blows me away. Definitely a boss that could say "fuck you Glenn" and walk away with Glenn just smiling....
It's so refreshing to listen to musicians who use music to express their emotions, not just to play meaninglessly. Too many guitarists just play licks up and down the neck but never really have anything to convey. The playing often just sounds emotionless and similar. Then we have you guys who instantly connect with what you are playing. That's what separates good from great, and skilled from talented! Keep it up!
Rabea is one of the top guitarists in the world. In terms of making real music, with real virtuosity, he's on par with Nuno and George Lynch. I've waited years to see another genius like this. For example, working chords in to a solo--and pulling it off--he is truly bad ass.
I actually hear a lot of Nuno influence in his Bea’s playing, both tonally and rhythmically, along with the percussiveness. I think Bea is a Nuno fan, I know that he has some Nuno N4 guitars.
I feel like we've not yet seen Bea reveal the true extent of his power, but for once that's not too exaggerated of a comment. Bea is fucking tasty and could certainly jam with Nuno without losing any face at all (Lynch would need reconstructive surgery)
Easily the best jam currently on UA-cam. I challenge anyone to find anything more vocal and dynamic than this. Absolute musical mastery from the whole band, but especially Rubea!
A shit-hot drummer, a fantastic bass player and a wonderfully technical and yet still groovy guitarist, all recorded extremely well, both sound and picture. well done
Can tell Rab and Dave really focused on building groove through their strumming hands. A lot of guitar players today ride off their technical hand, but lose all the soul and groove that the strumming hand. I remember only liking heavy bands like Korn and Pantera, and Fieldy from Korn told me to build the strumming hand up, and that's where all the funk and groove come from. Recommended to learn whatever songs I was learning with just strumming and no 2nd hand to lead. Changed the game. i am sure these guys did similar practices in early or later years too.
Easily one off the best ever jams , I know Rabea plays all that heavy stuff ( and it's great ) but his talent for the tasty and emotional side off things I think is were his real talent blooms . The other guys are unbelievable gifted too . Thanks gents
Rabea, dude, you need to play more stuff like this in all your other videos, I've watched a lot of your videos and you're very good, but I didn't know you were this good!
Cheers man! Yeah I love funk. I learned a lot of my funky rhythm licks from Nuno Bettencourt, from random videos of him jamming on the internet years ago. Other than that I listen to bands like lettuce (Eric Krasno) snarky puppy. Liquid soul... 6 toys, haggis horns. There's so much good funk out there.
i know im randomly asking but does any of you know a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I somehow forgot my account password. I would love any tips you can give me
@Aldo Jamari I really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and Im in the hacking process atm. Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
amazing strat sound amazing bass sound (its like a bad horse running hahhaha) the drummer have a great sound too. he is the key of all! great jam =) hi from brazil
There's certainly no shortage of guitarists with chops... but you are consistently inventive, tasteful and musical, no matter what style you're playing... I love all the moods/feels you explore in this jam. Thanks for posting it!
***** , Is Toska going to have some recordings available any time soon? I know you gentlemen have been busy with the Dorje Album but I really dig the Toska stuff! Also this jam is insane ! Cheers buddy!
I,ve already smash that like button a long time ago, can't we put 2,3,4, 9 thousands like?!??!! this is really good, gave me the need to jam with my friend!! 'Gonna call them tonight I think! THANK YOU so much for this Mr Bea Dave & Ben!

a bassist doesn't have to shine in a very intricate bass solo to be a good bassist. a bassist can be good in his feel for rhythm and which notes he plays in his basslines. I find it refreshing that this bassplayer is so good yet doesn't have to prove it in a badass solo.
Ok, but it is very nice to watch a bassist making some improvisation... not only doing the same notes/chords/"riffs" while guitar is making awesome solos! (sorry for bad english!)
Stephen Barlow I started to look more into theory but it's really hard/boring to learn unless I incorporate them with some sort of musical ideas, any advice?
Vu Le theory without context is quite boring and so incoperating it with musical ideas is a really good way to learn it, maybe ask your teacher for more lessons on theory as they will know what you want to learn and how to teach it (or maybe get yourself a teacher if you don't have one) Bottom line is, theory is the less glamourus side of music but something that is so nessecary to being good. If you really really want to be able to jam like these guys than you're gonna have slog through the boring and hard stuff because I'm 100% certain these guys had to do that as well
+Stephen Barlow I dare say you are quite incorrect sir, theory is good to have and know, but I'm 18 years old and have been in a live playing band for a year now, I knew a couple scales than from there linked everything I knew and learnt just how to stay in key, other than that just jamming and using your ear to create your own sound is the way I go about and many musician's over the year's but that is just my opinion
What great feel with these guys. drummer brings the tempo up and down masterfuly and the bass is groovin for 14 min strait. I can listen to Rab all day! i THINK ME LIKE
5:22 Ben is like: FUCK THESE GLASSES, ITS TIME TO ROCK!
Ben throws those glasses like "AWAY WITH THE SPECTACLES, ONWARD TO PERCUSSIVE GLORY!"
Joseph Morris Severely underrated comment
#drumageddon
Joseph Morris benny greb did it too. Must be a thing for drummers with glasses
Trust me, it is.
#drumageddon [el'sda2].
still come back to this one at last once a year. such a good jam session
Me too
I miss this era of guitar youtube. This, Dorje, Jared Dines regularly posting, and Rob Chapman at his peak. A lot of new players in the game now and they are all great, but I just miss parts of this.
They're honesty not that great, guys like Bernth and Rudy just aren't as entertaining or skilled. The era of funny guitar youtube has definitely past
Don't forget Rob Scallon ! Still active tho.
ggggggggreetings
that guitar sounds lovely but god damn it's so hard to play!
must be a strat thing! Did you ever get your hands on the Ibanez Js10th
mate?
***** never played one, always wanted to have a bash on one though. I love that start, but you have to fight for every lick beyond what would be considered comfortable.
I can imagine, I've never owned a strat, i love the knopfler type tones they give.... I've got the chromeboy though if you fancied a blast sometime?
Is it because it has a fat neck? Im finding it hard to play on strats and les pauls because of that, especially after growing up shredding on RGs.
Also great playing. Wish i could see you, guys, on tour, but i have exams. :( Good luck.)
Have you tried those 50s roadworn mex starts ? Very much alike the one your playing in sound. but might be a lot more playable :)
Holy crap that bass sound is the best thing in the world!
No mistaking the sound of a Warwick!
Or a Rickenbacker
MattyPS That's my first comment. Bea is great. great groove...but my God.....Brutal Bass tone
I might be wrong but I think he is using a Darkglass pedal. Maybe a B7K. Edit : Or maybe a Darkglass amp.
bass player is a mix engineer :D
Don't mean to take the wind out of your sails, Bea... but Dave and his bass tone stole the show for me.
5:23 That glasses throw tho
+MOOVIEbySEBBI xD
Rob struck gold when he found the three of you. Have you ever thought of putting out an instrumental album together of funky stuff like this?
Look up "Toska"
+Matt Snyder Toska are not funky at all haha
+Thingsandstuff neither is 75% of this track.
if you like stuff like this.. you'll love 80-90s porn
Bonamassa did it with RCFP so don't know why they could not do it, great stuff
One of the best jams I've ever heard
Hah thanks man, that's awesome! Thank you :-)
You did some amazing playing!
THE BEST JAM EVER!!! 💯🎸✌🏿👍🏿
@@RabeaMassaad this is literally the best jam I have ever heard
It gets me every time.

Noeffnwaypal Listen to Clay Gober's tone in Crush by Polyphia.
Fully agreed. He is a rare talent.
@@sarthakray5887I just looked that song up and I personally dig Dave’s style more. Both play it well but Dave’s tone is fire.
Yep, I'd definitely buy an album of these Jams. They sound *amazing*
This jam is like a blend of all my favorite types of music. I can hear some really great influences in there!
It's so refreshing to listen to musicians who use music to express their emotions, not just to play meaninglessly. Too many guitarists just play licks up and down the neck but never really have anything to convey. The playing often just sounds emotionless and similar.

2 years later I'm still here to listen to this masterpiece.
@@kinnantonThat's great! Are you still here?
@@akhileshsonawane8828 I still love it :)

so inspiring! most awesome jam i've ever heared! big props BEA

Easily the best jam currently on UA-cam. I challenge anyone to find anything more vocal and dynamic than this. Absolute musical mastery from the whole band, but especially Rubea!
Can't even remember how many times I have watched this video. So Inspiring, and groovy!
Ben's face at 5:15 perfectly shows the feeling you get from an incredible jam session. Way to go guys, I'm floored by how good this is!!
A shit-hot drummer, a fantastic bass player and a wonderfully technical and yet still groovy guitarist, all recorded extremely well, both sound and picture. well done
almost 3 years later and still one of my fave jams
Best bit is when Ben chucks his specs off his head and then goes nuts
:)
Strats are supposed to hurt. No pain, no gain. Seriously, though, some really incredible playing here, especially the rhythm turnarounds/syncopation.
Cheers man! Much appreciated. I struggled hahah
Can you explain why strat is difficult to play?
Andrew Zeleno Long scale lengths, tiny frets, low output single coils, awkward neck shapes and the bridge always felt kind of odd to me,..
James Metcalf thanks
no bother, but bear in mind most of that was fairly subjective
Seriously such a tight jam. Love it.
Can tell Rab and Dave really focused on building groove through their strumming hands. I love that part from 0:00 until 14:00
true words right here
14 mins of eargasm
^This!!!!^
the one between 0:00 and 14:00 is even better!
The Bass sounds so f#&%!$g awesome.
That Jam should be released on an Album!
My favourite part is all of it
Got new headphones, needed to hear this again. Still flashed me like the first time!
14 minutes of a jam that I could stay listening for hours and hours. Congrats! Your music arrive in Brazil. Let's spread the word (and sounds)!
The skill and talent in this room is through the roof, and thats just talking about Bea alone, wooow!!!
Me thinking I've practised enough for the day.
*Watches this.
*Practises for four more hours.

damn... the guitar sounds amazing, the drums sound awesome, and that fucking bass tone is fucking badass
Amazing jam. i love revisiting it every now and then... good musicians never disappoint. HELL YA!!
Haha that glasses throw at around 5 minutes, epic shit guys!
Rabea's playing is very characteristic, I can keep watching him play for hours.
This gave me an eargasm. *___*
You're insanely talented Rabea! Please post more videos of your jam sessions!
One can tell that you guys have been playing for 10 years. The synchronicity is clearly visible! Keep up the good work! :'D
+Sunandan Choudhury I know people who've played that long but none of them are as good as bea!
Yup, we do enjoy it👍😎
Rabea, dude, you need to play more stuff like this in all your other videos, I've watched a lot of your videos and you're very good, but I didn't know you were this good!
Thats by far my favorite jam of Bea, lots of licks, patterns and a huge band dynamic
15 minute jam...14 minute video...that's some Time Lord shiz right there ;)
Awesome. Nice hints of Nuno Bettencourt influence in his guitar playing. Right up my street
RIP Rob
Perfect example of what happens when actual good musicians come together, loved it
that bass tone, so hench! \~[°•°]~/
+Kayla “Kurisu” Deards helllll yes, so punchy and thick i love it haha
Didn't realise how much I needed to hear this again this morning but my day is SET now!
5:24 DONT NEED GLASSES TO GROOVE SON!
The bass.. my god! The tone, the punch.. incredible
Oh man, you have just exploded into my all time favourite guitar players-list ! Keep on grooving dude! Greetings from Finland!
Ben's faces are just magnificent throughout the video. Great jam!

Don't forget about Mother Funk Conspiracy.
here again. relistening for about the 4000th time. still just as good as the first time.. need more of these
This is the greatest thing that has ever happened in the history of the entire universe.
I know so many bands that would struggle to write a single 4.5 minute song as good as any single section of this jam. Quality stuff.
Dave's an animal. Fuckin' plays so aggressively, i love it.
How he threw the glasses at 5:24, AWESOME!!! This is a RAW experience, simply beautiful.

1:15 THE LICK
Oh man, love Rita so much, such a cool guitar. Still can't stop watching this video in 2021.
I also like how you chew away while you solo
I wonder what would happen if he made noises with his vocal chords while he plays.
That could become comical. I think they should mic him up just in case!
Try recording yourself on video while jamming, you may end up doing the same. Apparently I do the same as well without thinking.
I guess you're right. My dad sticks his tongue out when he writes, so I might just have a similar quirk without noticing. I have a tendency to push my bottom lip out when playing bass... so maybe with guitar too.
i press my lips tight together and lean forward a lot
That's what I call pushing the boundaries! Leaving your zone of comfort! All of you are exceptional! Keep that way! Best
Man, I'd forgotten about Ben's epic rock face. Going to war against weak groove.
YYYYEEEESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! Thanks guys! Feel free to upload more of these 'jam sessions' in the future! I freakin' LOVE the sound of a Strat. There is simply no other guitar on earth like it.

"So this is some behind the scenes footage of me, Dave and Ben jamming. We've always jammed together and a lot of it was funky rock stuff. It's completely improvised so excuse the odd hiccups!"
yeah man, we have played so long together that we just flow in and out of different dynamic parts together
***** That's so awesome! I really gotta find some people to play with, lol... Amazingly musical improv btw ;D
That 14mn jam is something. Can't believe it's improvisation. Wish you guys the best with Toska and Dorje really love your work.
Awesome! But give some space for bass to solo.

yep, it's a jam session anyway. give the bass some love bruh
good bass players got pockets, dave was soloing the whole 15 mins, you just dont know cause he got pocket
But wasn't this made to advertise the GUITAR course in musicisum?
Simply bad ass gents! That bass tone kills! That is one hell of a jam! Bravo gentlemen.
i turned this into an mp3 for my car :3
Rabea , this is SO AWESOME. Can't wait for the next 10years. You guys are very inspiring. Thank you and God BLESS
5:24 XD jajaja, love that part.
My favorite part of this video is how each member shines throughout. Wish you guys would record more of these. Cheers!
