Back in the day, I owned a '65 Stingray Roadster with 327 4spd, a '65 Malibu SS Convertible 327 and then a '65 Impala SS. Loved them all and wish I still had them! Very nice cars indeed!
Interesting to see Rpbert Vaughn doing a Chevrolet commercial. I know he was getting paid to do it, but his personal car was a Lincoln Continental convertible.
Dinah did NOT appear in this extended commercial (she severed her ties with Chevrolet when her weekly series ended in June 1961). This was originally seen at the end of a September 27, 1964 "BONANZA" episode {"The Hostage"}, in which Chevrolet made a BIG deal out of introducing their new 1965 models, featuring the stars of other shows they sponsored that season, on TWO different networks {"BEWITCHED", ABC; "THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.", NBC- ironically, they were telecast in black and white in the '64-'65 season}.
New telescopic steering, look, you can pull it closer so your body doesn’t have as far to travel before it rips through your ribcage and severs your spinal cord. No seatbelts, head rest. Back in the1940s Tucker cars had way more safety features but GM and Ford got their friends in high places to put a stop to that. Can’t wait for the day that GM and Ford are run out of Dodge.
if you haven't seen the parody skit of the old Battlestar Galactica you should watch it. Lorne Greene was in it. I think it was on the original Carol Burnette show from the late 70's. It was called Cattlestar Galactica.

Damn I love the 1960s. What a country, what an era
You got that right! You'll never ever see again anything like this anymore ever PERIOD!!!!!
You nailed it
A time in America that you'll Never Ever See Again Ever Period!!!!!
Love this❤
A cousin brought a Impala Sport in 1976.
Sport coup, but not a Super Sport.

Luuuv that '65 Impala. I think it's the nicest year for that car.
Me too.....I had several over the years. The SS was my favorite!
Wow...great.....but sad, they are all gone now.
Go to some local car shows and you'll see them again.....all RESTORED. ;-)
I wonder if Robert Vaughn was upset because he was stuck with the Corvair?
Oh they gave me this thing that was "unsafe at any speed"

Polio is a harsh taskmaster.

Interestingly entertaining commercial and a bit sad too.
Seems kind of odd that NBC stars would help promote an ABC show (Bewitched).
CORVAIR
1965 was the year of insanity with the Vietnam War
Killer Car...
That was so sad.
I agree but bewitched was sponsored by chevrolet
they are all dead
