- Many video retailers and rental stores have shut down, but Bay Street Video in Toronto says that after 30 years in business, they're still thriving. They've seen decades of format changes, industry upheavals, a pandemic and the golden age of streaming - but 2023 is on track to be their most successful year yet.

Marathon Ontario also has a thriving video store (Crossover Video and Games) in spite if being a very small town with just around 3100 ppl in Northern Ontario

As a gamer, I am no stranger to the importance of preservation through physical media.
You are at the mercy of companies and streaming services when it comes to accessing digital media and they can snap their fingers and either revoke your access to it or delete the thing you wanted to access altogether because they can.
Having something you can hold in your very hands is proof of your ability to enjoy that thing without it disappearing into oblivion.

Why not lean in to the nostalgia more? Checkerboard floors, vibrant colours, splashy movie posters , candy machines popcorn 🍿 maybe a pinball machine… this place is drab ,,, happy it’s thriving , but don’t hold back on the decor .
