I've wanted to try this pedal out, because like you, I LOVE big muffs. However, I already have a few Russian muff variants, though still, when I play with my band, I use the Pharaoh Supreme (Long. Live. The. Pharaoh.) Having said that, I have a few fuzz lord pedals and they all sound so good with the band. Jason makes pedals that sound amazing really loud. His void master and drone master are fucking brutal and just sound so good with lots of volume. Like you said, it probably is the clarity of the low end. Anyway, at some point I'll try this pedal out, because I imagine it will sound better than other doom-oriented Russian muff pedals. Shout out to Minotaur Sonic Terrors Swamp Lord pedal, that's another great doom muff based on the ram's head. It's one of my all time favourite takes on a muff.
This is probably the best sounding muff ive heard,making me regret buying the muff i have.
I have a couple of Jason's pedals and the build quality is the best out of all the pedals i own.
Kinda think i need this and the fu 2 even though i have variations of both.

That opening riff is badass! Awesome demo. Definitely seems like the mf-4 has more low end clarity than a typical green russian.

I like Big Muffs just as much as the high gain Fuzz Face variants. One of these days I will get the MF-4. But for now, it's the EHX BMP, BAT Crown of Horns, and the EQD Hizumitas. In the intro, did you throw in an octave up effect? Sounded really nice.
Absolutely crushing! I'd be doing a lot of tweaking on the mid and tone knobs. 😆

Do I need another Muff pedal? Absolutely not. Am I making space on my board for one of these? Of course, especially on my bass board. I think running this in parallel with my Sabbathi mixed low would be absolutely killer.
