How to set up Alexa for Xbox | Alexa Smart Home

Alexa for Xbox gives you a new smart home experience on the biggest screen in your house - turn on your favorite song, take a peek at your week ahead or check out a live view of your compatible smart cameras, just ask Alexa.
Getting set up is easy:
1. Set your power mode to instant-on:
2. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
3. Select Profile & system, Settings, General, Power mode & start-up.
4. Select Instant-on from the Power mode drop-down menu.
5. Enable digital assistants. Go to Profile & system, Settings, Devices & connections, Digital assistants, and then select Enable digital assistants.
Sign in to your Xbox.
6. Download Alexa for Xbox (optional and may not be available in all locales): www.microsoft....
7. Open the Amazon Alexa app on your phone.
8. Go to the menu and select Add Device.
9. Select Game Console, then Xbox, and then follow the instructions.
Things to Try:
· "Alexa, launch "Game Name"."
· "Alexa, play a song by "artist name" on Xbox."
· "Alexa, show me the front door camera on Xbox."
· "Alexa, show me my shopping list on Xbox."

Go to your Xbox settings > Devices & Connections - Digital assistants > and set up from there.

You can’t use the app on the Xbox for some reason, but just enable voice assistants in Settings, and go to the Alexa app, and add the Xbox skill, and it will work.

How do you know if the power mode is on instant on with the new updated settings for the power mode? And how do you turn on the Xbox when it's powered off because I believe I have the correct settings yet it said it couldn't turn on the Xbox

On the Xbox settings select instant power on, never actually powers off and you can power it on with the Alexa app in your phone
