I love to see them live, it’s always a pleasure to hear them and how great they sound live. Even if you don’t react to their original performance when they were young, you should watch them because you can see how talented they always were. Yes Eddy their singing is so "dreamy". This song is so precious with an emotional meaning behind it. These guys knew how to sing love songs. Romance and beauty and showing men how to be tender “men” and love their women. So sad we don’t hear romance and tenderness and beauty in music anymore. Everyone sounds angry and self centered today. Love The Bee Gees and their music makes my heart sing and gives me goose bumps

This song was written in August 1970 after the brothers reunited after an 18 month breakup. The lyrics reflect their feelings being apart from each other. They also wrote Lonely Days at the same time. Pure genius. ❤💕
Robin had a fit and left the group in 1969 thinking their manager was showing favoritism giving Barry the "A" sides of their releases. All the brothers were just overwhelmed with sudden fame. People would go to each brother telling them they didn't need the others. Robin said he felt like he was drowning in a whirlpool. Many don't realize the twins were still just teenagers and Barry barely past his teens. Barry and Robin wouldn't even speak to each other and Maurice was in the middle as usual. He refused to get involved but worked with both of his brothers separately. Both had #2 hits separately, "Saved by the Bell" for Robin and "Don't forget to remember" by Barry and Mo. After @18 months Robin decided it was time to extend an olive branch and went to make peace with Barry. Barry was writing this song and asked him to help. Maurice joined them and they wrote this and "Lonely Days" in the same day. Their first US #1. They did miss each other. Mo said one of them was OK, 2 was better but 3 together was magical. Robin said the good thing that came out of it was they split as boys but came back as men respecting each other and also that they didn't have each other to share their successes. He said since they both had #2's, "Some bastard kept us out of #1", LOL.
