      It's a slipjoint, but a nice one. Thanks! Knife laws are dumb... I guess I could have just said that.

    I love the cynism and criticism of other knife reviewers in your reviews. It adds a much needed reality of the everyman to your videos instead of people who are delusional tactical wannabes who have probably never used the knife for more than a day and are reviewing it like it's been a decade.

    I do not like knives without locking, but Sanrenmu is one of the best chinese brands. While Ganzo is lately is taking all eyes. Good review!

      +Chinese knives I agree! If this had a G10 handle and a lock, it would be awesome.

    You mentioned that it is a Sanrenmu knife, "sometimes known as SRM or just SR", but SR is a totally different company than SRM or Sanrenmu. Perhaps the easiest way to tell that is to go to GearBest or FastTech and you will see that SR knives are under a different mfr heading and their logo is very different.
    But you probably won't see this since it's an old video by now but I thought I would toss that in here just in case, because if you do buy an SR knife you will find that the quality is quite a lot lower than it is on SRM knives.

    • @AdvancedKnifeBro
      @AdvancedKnifeBro  8 років тому +2

      One of of the packages I got... and I think one website had a Sanrenmu listed as an SR at one point. At least I'm pretty sure... also the logos sort of look similar the flames and R. But yes... SR's are a cheap knife that doesn't make anything that looks remotely like quality. If it were easy to fix stuff like this I would probably take it out. Anyway thanks!

      Your channel is in my top 3 favourite knife channels, I don't know how you can keep up with all the comments when you have over 6K subscribers. Anyway, I always look forward to your videos.

    • @AdvancedKnifeBro
      @AdvancedKnifeBro  8 років тому +1

      It takes up a lot of time for sure... and sometimes I miss comments or forget to answer questions- but I try. I'm sure if I get a ton of subscribers I won't be able to keep up- so I hope people don't get pissed off. Thanks for watching!

    The exceedingly rare Chinese knife with an original design. They do okay, but I have to applaud them anytime they do their own design rather than rape intellectual property. So, on that note, well done Sanrenmu! On an unrelated note, I use my DPx HEST Original to open bottled beers. ;)

    • @AdvancedKnifeBro
      @AdvancedKnifeBro  8 років тому +3

      I look for cheap knives all the time, and I'll admit- you really have to follow all the releases of the big knifemakers to spot which is a copy of which. I don't really do that. I just browse the new sections... and buy shit that looks interesting.

  • @MichaelTravis12c27
    @MichaelTravis12c27 8 років тому +2

    I've had a number of their knives and have been pretty happy with them. This one looks pretty interesting

    • @AdvancedKnifeBro
      @AdvancedKnifeBro  8 років тому +2

      Not too shabby- a lot of people here don't like knives that don't have locks. I do a lot of these types for the international knife guys. I mean, and girls... in theory.

      @Leftyotism 2 роки тому

      @@AdvancedKnifeBro Yeah, you really only need locking blades if you wanna stab something. >:D
      I know, because back in the day I cut myself several times while pressing the tip onto or into something and the unlocked blade then whacked into me unaware hand D:
      Maybe that's why I still prefer a locking blade, not that I stab things much, but just in case D:

    Not too familiar with this brand of blades will have to check one out. Effective July 2014 Tennessee has no length restrictions on knives and switchblades are legal to carry

    • @AdvancedKnifeBro

    Good one! As always the BEST KNIFE is the one you got! If it wasn't you would get another! And if you know your knife you are an Expert! I think at least that's what I heard on a YT video or did I read it on Wikipedia? Hmm! Also I too have several Sanrenmu about 6 and they all seem to be well worth the price I paid! Trust me I'm a Knife guy!

      Believe it or not this one is still razor sharp. Honestly it has held an edge better than the Ganzo shit I usually review.

    Hello from Nuuk, Greenland where everyone carries knives everywhere and there are zero laws regulating this (as well as firearms, ammo, whatever). It is a hunter society. Zero problems. In other countries, the political class attempts to control every aspect of life. It is bad as you end up in a pseudo-dictatorship, at the end of the day. Nice video approach of yours. Best & Thanks!

    you cut a Tomato! REAL STUFF PEOPLE DO WITH KNIVES🌟🌟🌟🌟 If it wouldn't be stalker creepy and or socially awkward for a strange man to give another man a hug even though they've never met and don't have a relationship where hugging is appropriate, I would give you a hug. (maybe)
    The knife, Seriously, i love slip joints, I would love them more if they weren't all traditional designs and maybe had larger blades. Im going to go look for this on Ebay.

    Pull anything other than a Swiss Army Knife out of your pocket and you get "the looks" for cutting up a Leberkässemmel.

      Here in Poland any blade is permitted as long as it's not concealed in an item that doesn't appear like a blade (e.g. umbrella sword). Most people I know understand that I carry a knife and often borrow it or ask me to cut something, but some of them gave scared looks or flipped out entirely the first time they saw me pull the criminal weapon out of my pocket to cut that poor apple in half.

    • @AdvancedKnifeBro
      @AdvancedKnifeBro  8 років тому

      I bring my spyderco to work... and anytime someone asks for a blade I whip it out. I do get looks!

      Just looked into our knife laws, we have that rule too!
      @Advanced Knife Bro: Once they know you have a knife with you, life gets dangerous. Suddenly everbody needs to have wires cut! ("Why don't you want to cut it when your knife is sharp?!", ugh...)

    Dude! Just having one knife, one headlamp one anything gives that doesn't work like I wan't it to work in the second I open the package (without reading manual or any advice from internet) I have a right to post to utube "xxxx FAIL" 30sec video...

      Ok... no problem man! Yeah... I have gotten some bunk shit before- but if that happens I always give the manufacturer a chance to respond- and send me a new one. I will bring that up in my reviews- I don't think it's the most important thing- but I try to be fair- and let the viewer sort out that information.
