I’m planning a trip to Slovakia this summer! I love the pictures of the country, and I love what looks to be a wholesome culture. I want to marry a Slovak girl, where small town or big city should I visit? 🤔🐒

Wish you the best trip! 😊 and good luck in finding your future Slovak wife 😊 I love Trnava, Bojnice and Trenčín, they are not that big, but are beautiful 🥰 and big cities like Bratislava and Košice are good idea for trip also :)

I always thought that "Maj sa" is closely related to the expression "Ako sa Mas," so I thought it would be similar to our American expression "Take care," which we also use as a "parting" greeting when we are leaving the company of another person or persons.

Yes I would say that too. You are right about that Dennis :)

Can you please show various greetings that we might use in email or text messages in terms of formal to informal. For example -- S pozdravom (very formal?), Pekny den prajem, pekny den/vikend/vecer, maj sa, ahoj, Cau etc. Once I used "Maj sa" as a goodbye greeting in an email message to a Slovak whom I knew, but not that well. She corrected me, saying that I should not use "Maj sa" in that situation, but should instead use "Pekny den." D'akujem!

I had previously learned that Ahoj and Ahojte should only be used "informally." You said it can also be used formally? I didn't know this.

People nowadays use it more frequently, but for formal conversation I personally always use Dobrý deň :)
