Great review Sir! I have both the GR1 26L and GR2 40L rucks and have been looking at the Kit Bag for a while now. You did a great job of covering the various features and uses of the bag. Likewise, I've been looking at the Dopp Kit and GR1 Field Pocket; I think both would be a great addition to both my GRs and the Kit Bag. Keep up the great work!
I like the size of the duffel, and the addition of the side zip pocket… and the end pockets on the exterior are great. I had the previous version and liked it… but the Achilles heel is the main pocket opening. The straight zipper makes the opening too small. I opted for the Bellroy lite duffel.
I really like the size and layout/features. One thing that prevents me from getting one is no luggage pass through. I'll stick with my tomtoc T31 for now.
I really don't like how they put their white goruck logo on the bottom right hand side of the new kitbag it kills the subtle look, also the new zipper doesnt have a flap that has the same protective ideology as the primary compartment zipper, definitely shows its an after thought of the original version which im happy to own
I feel like each time I look at GoRuck's items, I just look at the way Evergoods does a product that's similar and crushes it in comparison. I would like something like this, but the Evergoods Transit Duffle just blows it out of the water IMO. Have you had a chance to review that one yet?
Thank you for watching! I haven’t had a chance to check out the evergoods duffel yet but it looks pretty interesting, I’m a big fan of evergoods as well, I do think the kit bag seems to fit my use case for duffel more than the td35 since that one seems a little bulkier and more rigid, but still very curious to see it in action
Thank you for watching and fair point! I’ve found that prefer not to roll my clothes a lot of the times as it feel like i can’t pack quite as much and the compression cubes help squeeze the air out. Depending on the cubes / bag / items I’m packing I might adjust and roll in that case so it’s good to experiment with a few different methods to find what works best for different use cases Imo
That swivel tray 👌

Thank you for watching and for the support! And I agree I think these would be great complements to the GR2s
I took a 1" foam strip in the bottom of the side pocket.. helps protect my iPad when I set it down. Probably would work just as well for a laptop.
nice, with goruck I always get to add to cart then hit the hills after sticker shock and chicken out
Thank you for watching and I have had that feeling many times in the past on goruck site so I definitely understand😅

Thank you for watching and that’s a good point a luggage pass through would be nice on this one
Great video. 👍 appreciate your content
Thank you for watching and for the support!
Hey man great video!
how many peak design packing cubes can you fit inside the kitbag?
Thank you for watching! I was able to fit two of the mediums and a small peak design cube
What is the weight of this bag?
I like that they're still experimenting with new designs, but I'm done with goruck I think.
Hate the logo
Looks like a nice update. Not a fan of the white arrowhead branding though :(
black sharpie
@@dimm0k I would just rather get an older version
Thank you for watching! I agree there’s some nice improvements here and would have preferred the blacked out arrowhead

get some black Rit dye and a paint brush… easy solution, I agree…. they could have done black at least
Thank you for watching and I agree it would have been better to have a more subtle logo and the flap on the exterior zipper like they have on the gr1s
no luggage pass through is a miss for this bag =(
Thank you for watching! Would have been a nice addition for this one!
What do you mean by luggage pass through?
@@Tellurdogisayhello it's missing the pass through on the bag that allows it to be put on a rolling carry on luggage
@@gundam0816 ohh gotchya. Thanks for explaining :)

Why are no bag reviewers rolling clothes to save space? It's weird to spend so much energy on packing demos with clothes full of air

Yawn…. Less of this bs and just make more your other packs accessible.
