What kind of paper did you use, and how’d you get the dimensions to be exact? I scanned with a piece of paper behind it so that I could have the exact dimensions it would be when printed on regular printer paper. I saved the image and had Best Buy print it on brochure paper and the dimensions still came out all wrong.
I just use regular copier paper but it's entirely up to you what to use for the look you want. As far as printing goes I have access to a color copier at work and I always print it out on 8.5x14(Legal) sheet so it gets the entire artwork. Sometimes your printer will try to help you out by "upscaling" the image to fit the page which totally messes things up! Blu-ray Insert Dimensions are 126 mm x 148 mm (width x height) while DVD Case Dimensions are 145 mm x 118 mm. If you are using an art program like Photoshop you can enter those exact dimensions and then if you are paying to have it printed you can tell them to print the exact size. I think that a Copy/Print place like STAPLES would be a better fit because they will try harder to get it right for you and work until they do. Plus they probably won't charge you for the copies that didn't work. GOOD LUCK!
I was thinking of doing something different...I want to get a 14mm CLEAR DVD Case, and ALSO have it so that when you open the DVD you can see background art that is on the INSIDE of the case that resides underneath the DVD, which you can also see on the left hand side of the inside of the case...if I were to do this, would I just print it off at the exact same size as the DVD label that goes on the outside? I would think it's the same dimensions...just don't know if it would work in practice...Let me know!, Thanks!
Wow! I'd really like to see that! When I bought my first DVD player from Phillips in the mid 1990s it had a BLACK AND WHITE button on the remote that totally removed all the color! I did use it to watch some films but I really used it to watch the black and white Universal Monster films! Thanks Erin for watching my video!
I'm a collector and I usually are making replacement cases because the disc didn't come with one! But, when I make my own DVDs I use a IMac Pro and Adobe Premiere to edit but I use iCD to burn it to DVD. It's $5 on the App Store. Thanks for watching and good luck with your discs!
I personally use Adobe Photoshop to make mine but I already have the program for work. It's really whatever you like to use to edit pictures! Also you can measure the box art your self or look it up on google, I'm sure someone has those measurements up somewhere! ;)
I just use regular copier paper! I know you can use different paper like a glossy type or thicker paper but you take the chance of the ink not adhering to the glossy paper or the printer getting jammed with a thicker paper. Good Luck and thanks for watching!
Dear CHEAP ASS movie dude , if u could choose only one size of disc cover from cd to Blu-ray , excluding laserdisc & vinyl , which one would u choose for all of your movies on disc formats ???? Personally I think the original 2 disc extra wide dvd cases r the coolest

*Here's the lazy way to do it.* 1. Use a simple color as the background. 2. Have the protagonist take a selfe so we can see the disgusting parts of their facial features. 3. Slap the title on the top. 4. Place the studio name on the bottom.
I just bought 492 Blu-ray cases for $50 from a white guy that was getting rid of them. Best deal ever
Dang! Sounds like a deal!

Hey man love the cover. I was wondering if you had a link to a download for it so I can use the cover for my logan noir :)
What program do you use to get the dvd file onto the dvd? I can’t seem to find one you don’t have to pay for

@@cheapassmediareview what would you recommend to use on windows?
@@beamiller6614 my go to on windows was always Nero!
I much prefer the original movie poster artwork on a bluray case.
I do too! But they are done by the studios so rarely! Thanks for watching!
@@cheapassmediareview I KNOW. Some of the artwork is just blah! I miss the vcr cassette artwork.
DEAR CHEAP ASS MOVIE DUDE ? What’s the best program or app to go with to get all the diffident layouts for all the Blu-ray and dvd case sizes ?????

Hi cheap ass movie dude I have a question what paper do we need to use to print Blu-ray movie cover
I just use regular copier paper! I know you can use different paper like a glossy type or thicker paper but you take the chance of the ink not adhering to the glossy paper or the printer getting jammed with a thicker paper. Good Luck and thanks for watching!
Also I forgot to tell you that the shiny plastic on the case gives it that "glossy" look so no gloss paper is needed!
Thank you

I do really like a normal size DVD case! Doubles seem too big and the single gray/black dvd case would have to be my favorite! Great question!
Great video you're fun to listen to!
Thanks Orange! I'll be checking out your channel too!

What software u used to make bluray cover?
Photoshop is my favorite to use but you could use any that you like! I may do a follow up video that goes more in depth. Thanks for watching!
Video said you can make your own yet you didn't show how to make your own! Disappointing!
What a bad Video ... Not what the header says ....
