Probably his fist summer alone. I was surprised he left so fast. I took pause and looked around just in case he knew something I didn't but i think the whistle irritated him enough to make him go.. City moose and hill moose have distinctly different attitudes.. Twas a VERY warm and sunny day but one of the best days doing PT i have had in a while.. Thanks Lass!
Lol that moose, check your 6 now and then. My mate I'm Sweden swears he has one follow him out there. The pouches seem good too, I reckon a Dutch bottle and mug will fit too
Thanks.. I think they are g2g.. Im probably gonna make 2 more but with mesh bottoms this time.. Did you make your mnt yet? I fuking over slept today so just did some PT..
Those pouches turned out nice. Great job. Are those Austrian canteens used before you bought them?. I just ask because I've been thinking about buying used canteens I have in the past but never gave it much thought on what soldiers did with them.
Yes mine were used. However I made sure the seller checked them to be clean and that the gaskets were intact.. I agree- most metal canteens are roached. Generally I will not buy canteens from online but I knew the seller back then (out of business now) and I knew he'd handle it right..
@@Ivarr.Bergmann.Alaska ok that's good. I think cleaning with bleach works good or boil in them first. Anyways thanks for sharing. I'm in the process to build a smock that you inspired me to do by watching your home made smock vids. 👍 thanks for sharing
@@Ivarr.Bergmann.Alaska that would be nice to see. I'm waiting on getting va sewing machine for fathers day, and then the mrs. Is going to help me. I can do hand sewing, but not familiar with a machine. I'm thinking about puting a pocket on my both forearms rather than the shoulder. I've valrrady cut the pockets off one of woodland camo blouses, but sewing the pocket on the arm with out having to un stitch the arm is the part I'm wondering about. Anyways it will be good experience.
Yeah dont do that. You will need to roll your sleeves up at some point and sewn on pockets will destroy your ability to ventilate when needed.. Plus you'll never get it on unless you do in fact take the arm apart.. IME its not worth it.. Anything you put in the forearm pockets is gonna move around and get in the way badly with flopping, light or heavy objects..
I have two of those austrian canteens, but they leak a little if put on their side. Have you had this issue? Currently looking for some flat silicone o-rings to try.
Very nice craftsmanship 👍 That moose was something else….. enjoying the sunshine… no worries …. Good life. Best wishes, Gilly ✨

@@Ivarr.Bergmann.Alaska Not yet. I figure I can make it in about 2 months. I am going to try in August for the full thing.
ahhh i thought you were shooting for this week,,, my mistake..
@@Ivarr.Bergmann.Alaska Not quite. I can't do 17 miles with a climb right now. Way to out of shape for that.
"out of shape" happens SO much faster then getting in shape, dont it?

Those pouches look perfect and the M05 camo is solid. You could sell them.

Wouldn't take much to belt loop them like the 44 pattern water bottle pouches..
Sound idea but last week i made that East German Splinter camo pouch... Stop giving me ideas to mess up my works! 😃
@@Ivarr.Bergmann.Alaska,
Another one for the list nord..
Did you paint your trekking poles I was thinking about getting some glass bead and blasting mine to give the a profile for paint to stick to
Just used OD duct tape..
@@Ivarr.Bergmann.Alaska ah never thought about using that

Not yet. I made sure when I bought them that the seller inspected them properly. The rings do go bad but mine have not as of yet..
