Why are you trying to use "what you will look like when you are 70"? Firstly, the 70+ year olds I know with heavy tattoos don't care what they look like. That idiot woman saying people get tattoos because of lack of purpose, and we are the image of God. You will find a lot of people are more heavily tattooed these days because there are less closeminded people like the people on this panel in control of if you have a job. I am a VFX artist and if not from home, I work in very corporate offices. I have plenty of tattoos. Also, nobody cares that I have tattoos. They care that I am good at my job. Getting tattoos is a form of personal expression. Sure, there are people out there who get them "because it looks cool" (everyone has at least a bit of that in the decision), but I find it funny that someone with no tattoo dares to say they are try-hard. It is try-hard to get a fake tattoo. Spending hours putting up with and sitting through the pain of a big tattoo is anything but try hard. It takes dedication to go through that pain. If you don't like them, don't get one, but don't be stupid enough to presume you know why people get them without actually asking them about it. I have actually found being heavily tattooed has helped me quickly weed out when I am dealing with closeminded and judgmental people. Neither are mindsets that go well in my industry.
I don't know any design I would want my whole life so I don't bother with any tattoos. Half the people don't even keep the same spouse their whole life and they promised to do it.

I’m seriously glad that i never got one when i was a young man … glad i never did
There will be some interesting lamp shades out there.
Its the follow syndrome, not individuality anymore. Look at footy players, they are mostly all the same.
I don’t have any tattoos. Quite frankly, anyone who does have them are only expressing their coloring book/ story on their skin. That’s their personal art, leave it at that without judgement.
Usually it's weird needy attention seeking, especially weird to take such pride someone else's work. Even more odd since it's usually cookie cutter mass produced crap.
That is one's own business, yes.

I've changed my mind on too many things in my life to permanently mark myself with anything.
I'm a traditional Christian conservative, married 23 years , father....hard working , community volunteer.....I have two complete sleeves, most of chest and back covered in tattoos....no neck, face or hands though....they weren't done for vanity, they're deeply personal and represent all of my worldly travels and personal triumphs....even have a few piercings.....don't judge too harshly
wow, i hope to be like you one day, been alive just as long as youve been married and i feel the same way great to know theres people older than me who share the sentiments
I assume a lot of people that have tattoos don't have mirrors at home.
LOL good one
To be honest, I don't know how anyone can possibly afford tattoos this day and age...
Ive looked into trying to get my sleeve finished several times over the past few years and the prices are astronomical compared to what they used to be.
I think that the tv show Ink Master made tattoos popular. One nice tattoo used to make a man look a little sexy. Now even my 75 year old librarian has one. Tattoos have been ruined... just like everything else nowadays.
What he said is true, when everyone has one you're not the rebel. You're the conformist.
Sheep more like it!!
Just a bunch of kids drawing on themselves
They have too much money.people complain they can't afford food bills house etc but all the money goes on ink
...and cell phones with expensive data plans.
There are better uses of time, energy and money. People are judging your tattoos negatively weather you like it or not so be prepared to miss some opportunities.
the main difference between a person with tattoos and person without them is that a person with tattoos will never judge someone for not having any!
That's not true
Wrong
i seem to have triggered all the people with no tattoos!!🤣🤣🤣
You must be real soft if you feel being told you're wrong, without any hostility or insult in those 2 replies, is people being triggered.

being told youre wrong doesnt make you wrong!

One tattoo that used to be a common favorite was a "MOM"" tattoo and don't see that anymore. Goes to show the sad direction of the culture.
How does an art style evolving show any kind of 'sad' direction? It just shows that at one time when people were going to war that it was their mum they wanted to tribute.
@@RandomCreationsOG From Mum to satanic images...yeah, nah that's not sad at all. None so blind as the blind.
No-one is talking about satanic images. Everyone who has tattoos isn't satanic. I have heaps of tattoos and don't believe in god so why would I get his fictitious fallen son tattooed on me? How is it sad that society has got to the point where people can decorate themselves through a want for creativity rather than as a sign of they may die at war? If you don't like tattoos don't get any. You just sound ignorant and judgmental by labeling everyone with tattoos as evil@@deanpd3402
So everything going on in the world and this is what's being talked about. I don't have tattoos but seriously. Also I like how the term clean skin was used. A way to create more groups for people to disparage. So if your not a clean skin what are you?
Clean skin is strangely counter cultural in 2024 & outstandingly beautiful!!
Most people wash off ink that gets on their skin.
The people that get tattoos don’t care whether you get it or not. They also don’t care if you think they’ve gone too far.
I think people who judge and analise the tattoo people should maybe do a bit of introspection themselves. 😊 Live and let live people, more important problems in the world today.
I'm an individual, just like everyone else. They think it makes them look cool or tough. If you need one to look cool, you aren't. I can confirm they don't toughen you up and people with tatts go down just as fast as people without tatts.
MY advice as a former white color employer is not to have tattoos that can not be covered normally for the type of work like face, head, neck, hands, and wrist.
Worst thing in the world is a pretty bride in a pretty dress covered in ugly Cyrus tattoo's. Used to be Young. No Ragrets. At least she can afford to remove them. I did notice the Veronicas covered up for their T.V. gig on Idol.
Medical providers that do tattoo removal love the tattoo trend 😂
I saw a beautiful woman, covered in tats, and asked her what bumpersticker she would put on her Bugati Veyron. It went over her head.
should have said "on her Ferrari" instead.
Seeing men with shaved heads who were covered with tattoos, especially when congregating in groups of similarly bald, tattooed men, used to make me cross the road, sometimes run across the road, especially when they were running behind me!
Now.. they're everywhere.
Zippity do dah.
The guys are way over doing them & limiting their job opportunities or having to hide them with clothing at work. The woman are getting them like bikers & wonder why the "good guys" don't want anything to do with them, usually because the guys assume they're property of a biker.

Tattoos...just a fad ...it will pass like all other fads we have had in the past, the only problem is, you are stuck with your decision for many years to come..Tattoo removal will be the next business opportunity for Onterepures...
Agreed. I got a quote to remove my three tattoos!
I was told $450 a session and I would need 6 sessions. You add that up. Expensive
I hate tough stickers and piercings 😮
How 'bout the piercings with a hole so big you could put a sewer cover in your ear? Do you hate them too? I do!
Exactly, 😂
Apparently Jeffrey Dahmer said that tattoos taste very bad so it might be a good deterrent to cannibalism.
Only Mike Tyson looks good with his face tattoo. Everyone else should stay away from it.
That thing looks like ass
I don't know any design I would want my whole life so I don't bother with any tattoos. Half the people don't even keep the same spouse their whole life and they promised to do it.
i love my ugly tat because its not so much the art but the meaning fellings of the moment and experience.i got it done at age 16 with my farther so it realy was being done as a farther son bonding type thing.a couple years latter i had a friend/girl friend and she said to me i want you to come with me to get a tattoo and asked me to come with her and i asked why do you want a tat she said cuz she likes the idea and had a real nice piece of art I told her its more about the bonding than the art are you sure you want me there with you.your tattooing me on your body, she said yes thats why i want it to be you to be there with me.she half knew what it was going to be like but affter it was finished we went for a drink and she cried with a smile on her face hugged me and said im so thankfull you were there with me i completly understand what you ment..
a tattoo is so so much more than just art and i dont think alot of people that get tats grasp that and just ignore that concept.
dont get a tat for fassion or because the art looks cool get a tat for meanning its a constant reminder of that life experience and the feelings you want to hold on to its a bonding of what you want captured get it done in a reason of pure love or of such things.
Even the US Army has limits and rules on tattoos.
Well Travis Barker is covering up third degree burns. I don't think he gives a toss about looking cool 🙄

Rebellious individualism, except now everybody's a rugged counter-revolutionary culture warrior. Once limited to sailors and criminals, now even Cops have tattoos, which along with the trend for female Police Commissioners, diminishes its credibility enormously...
I think they’re gross. An old boss at work got pissed at me for wrinkling my nose at seeing someone with multiple tattoos.
wrinkling? omg! but seriously, it depends the situation - like, manual labourers should be left alone, they are not in an office.
Everything going on in the world, how is this news worthy? If you don’t like tattoos. Don’t get one.
Maybe because it's symptomatic of a society going down the tubes, which is what's going on in the world.

I've never cared for tattoos and would not date any women with tattoos all over her, same with piercings all over her face. Big Nope!
When governments and corporations have made us slaves to taxes and consumerism, and when our peers sentence us to hard labor for material status, we all are become ever more like prisoners. It's perhaps more than a search for meaning that drives people to get tattoos: it's resentful acknowledgment that our bodies and souls are only valuable to society based on how much convict labor can get squeezed out of us.
My parents explained that 'every idiot has one'. Never wanted one after that.
wise parents.
my parents said only sailors & criminals had them, the ONLY person we knew with it, had a numbered tattoo from a camp
I’m clean skin. I could never understand why people would be so willing to pay someone to cause them pain. Getting my ears pierced was traumatic enough. Plus I’m still waiting to see Cher’s butt tattoos and how well they held up! 🤪
I am old school in my day only outlaw bikers, sailors and ex cons had tatts .I am in my 60s now and was all three but today we see them on celebrity chefs, hairdressers, cops and wimps like Ed Sheeran. They have sucked the cool right out of being a bad boy
yep, means zero now, which is why the few that understand that, now keep it personal and usually hidden
Toxic ink is not an impediment
Nicest people I ever met are covered in tattoos, while the most judgemental go to church every Sunday. Having body art is preference. Just like what you wear or drive everyday. Pretty judgemental for people loving something. We're all God's children, can't we just except one another? Try doing good with your words to help others with important issues in life. Like mental health. Go volunteer your time.
Stereo type Stereo type. I'm covered and go to church. Full time job. Highly educated and don't judge others for what they love. Never been in trouble. Never in jail. So again Stereo type! Bad people are bad people because they want to be. Ink doesn't make them that way. You say you go to church but God doesn't teach hate or dislike. Better keep going to you realize there's more to life than judgment, hate, or dislike.
Ecclesiastes 6:11 - Since there are many things that increase vanity, How is man the better?
If you've seen post Malone's face without the tattoos you'd probably agree go ahead and cover the rest of it up 🌚
when I was growing up only criminal dodgy type hoods and US Navy men had tattoos.

Skin tattooing impairs sweating according the the national library of medicine: “reduced sweating in tattooed skin is likely related to functional damage to the secretory mechanisms of eccrine sweat glands, rendering it less responsive to cholinergic stimulation.”
*I've got a full sleeve. I like it. Thats why I did it. I understand people who dont like them, they're not for everybody. I never regretted mine and still dont 20+ years later. Some people do, that's life*
My partner of 13 years has a lot of tattoos. Both arms are sleeved, his chest and stomach. He doesn't have them on his wrists or his neck so he can hide them. And he doesn't show them off he always hides them even in the hot weather. All his tattos are meaningful to him so he doesn't have to show them off. I find them sexy, but i get it some people don't and i honestly respect other peoples opinions. I just see them as art or decorations.
And my partner has no mental health problems. He's the rock to everyone in his life.
The only worry i have is i recently found out that the body is constantly producing this enzyme to fight the foreign material out of your body and can cause damage to your kidneys.
I'm not anti-tattoo, I'm anti dumb tattoo's. Either in the location and/or the tattoo itself. If you're going to get a tattoo, get a good tattoo, in a good location and have it personally mean something to you. Most people, women especially look like a desk in high school detention.
