You are absolutely correct about not limiting yourself!! I learned this a couple of years ago. Now I get asked..."where did learn to cut hair?" What they wanna say is where did I learn to straight hair. Definitely good advice.

Hey man nice haircut!🔥 I have a question, whenever a guideline needs to be removed, I see most people like flicking out at the line. But do they also constantly flick out the space in between the guidelines? Or can you just go regularly through it?

You should always be flicking when you are blending shorter hair to longer hair. The reason is because you want to leave as little lines as possible. If you lay the blade flat you are 100% going to leave lines that are harder to get out. Flicking out makes it so if you do leave a line it should be a soft one that is easy to remove. You can lay the blade flat if you are trying to make the hair all one length or when you want to go straight off the shape of the head with your clipper.

Its not spread out enough. It doesnt have to be higher necessarily. Its just too condensed so he needs to make his guidelines larger with the half to the 1 open specifically. Seems like he was trying to do the back taper almost as if he is cutting a waver. The problem with doing that on this kind of hair is that if you dont spread the back out enough even if its blended its going to leave a dark shadow or dark line in the back of someones head.
