There might be a time a even greater driver might appear - but that time has not come yet. Hamilton is a good driver, but overrated. Put him in another team and he will struggle. Mercedes are just too damn good in terms of their car, mechanics, strategists and engineers... Hamilton takes great profit from this. He takes more profit from a superb team than any other driver before.
@@Nairam10 I always wanted to see Lewis in a team that didn't have a Mercedes engine, or joining RoC where everyone has equal cars, but it was clear that it would never happen. I don't think he'll ever have a challenge in his career, and he is certainly not willing to put himself in any categories that would have equal cars for all, as he'd only have something to lose.. This is not to say that he's not a good racing driver, but considering the Mercedes affiliation throughout his career, as well as being beater by less favoured Rosberg and Button, I don't think I could ever rate him in the top 5 unless he wins in another car or on equal footing as others did.
@@mkl_ Well, I can agree. People often misunderstand this and think it is hatred. It is not. We just got no reference to be able to judge his skill. Lewis is a clean driver. They say he`s the cleanest driver ever. The thing is that he doesn`t need to drive overly agressive because he can rely on the best car and the best team. You can`t even drive like that in a second tier car - impossible!
@@Nairam10 During the 2011 season, Hamilton crashed into Massa over and over again, but I'd just consider that a bad season. As you said, though, we will probably never be able to tell whether he's actually a beast or not, as there's no reference other than the "bad seasons" that everyone ignores, while the same people criticise other drivers for having similarly bad seasons in worse cars. As a recommendation for qualy videos, check out 2012 Monaco and how Schumi managed his pre-penalty pole lap - the onboard and the brake bias changes etc. are something else. Have a great weekend!

The truth about Schumacher needing his teammates to sign #2 driver contracts so they weren't allowed to beat compete against him on a level playing field has been leaked. His whole first career is based in a lie: "At the time I handled people like Rubens Barrichello, Eddie Irvine, Giancarlo Fisichella and Jean Alesi, and every time we went to sign a contract with Michael Schumacher or Ferrari it always had conditions in it" - Eddie Jordon. "Whether I signed with Eddie Irvine, Rubens Barrichello or whoever they were - there was a clause there that they always had to play second-fiddle to Michael Schumacher.' Eddie Jordan "I had an opportunity to go to Ferrari but the contract that was offered by Jean was that if Michael was 5th and I was 4th, I had to move over, and, if I was 1st and he was 2nd, I had to move over.I couldn't sign a contract that committed me to being a #2" - David Coulthard. "Ferrari, the contract that was offered effectively made me, on paper, number two to Michael. I've no doubt that Michael was the stronger driver out of the two because I recognise he was a better overall package than I was but at that stage of my career, I just couldn't accept signing a number two contract and that's why I decided to sign at McLaren and I think that was the right decision for my career." David Coulthard.
@@MT-pv2rf and thats why coulthard never won a championship. He signed his contract behind Häkkinen who was nearly at the same level as Schumacher at this time. So that point doesnt matter if He signed behind Mikka or Schumi... If he was as good as he thought he is, he could make an impact with a slower or lets better say not as good as ferrari or mclaren designed car. Alonso did it... so there is no excuse. The contracts they are made are may be not fair, but if you own a car, you just want the best and that is what Michael Schumacher was... The best!
Michael took alot from Senna, think about it - Schumacher was schooled by the titans of F1, Prost, Mansel and Senna, no wonder he became such a successful driver himself
And that ladies and gentleman is the reason why Michael is the greatest of all time. All the emotions, a full blooded racer, ice cold on track but a warm and lovely heart within him. He had the greatest time of his life everytime he stood on the podium and was so determined to get back up to it after bad weekends. My god did I love this guy for what he's done and for whom he's been. You'll always be my hero Michael. Always and forever.
@@AZBCDEE Crymacher? Crymilton cried that the car is a shit. Schumacher said to the engineers what's the problem with the car, and what to do. Hamilton can only win in the best car, Schumacher won with the Benetton, that his team mate said that the car is a tractor. He had some dirty things, but he got penalty, not like Hamilton getting 5 sec, for knocking out Verstappen. Everyone says, that Hamilton was robbed, but if in Silverstone Verstappen could finish the race, Verstappen could've won the wdc at least 1 race earlier. Hamilton can be 10x champion, in my opinion Schumacher will still be better.
The day Senna died, I cried myself to sleep, I was 11 years old. Schumi helped through the sadness. The years that followed was the best times of my life watching Formula 1. We are privileged to have seen him race. We saw a legend in the making. In my heart today I cry again, another hero is slipping away. Will always love you Schumi!
You clearly missed something special. it was amazing to watch them fight and think about the right strategy to win. now its nothing special anymore. but good to watch.
Right there with you brother. I was 22 years old when Senna passed.... Michael Schumacher was like being struck by lightning to watch him drive. Definitely a wonderful time to watch F1, Although Hamilton is closing in on his 5th... F1 has changed and its not the same.

Ferrari's red baron. Professional, dominant, all terrain conquering master of each circuit he laid his tyres on. Cloaked in style, speed and controversy at times like most F1 great champions. Gentleman off the track, menace on it. The sport misses u Michael, keep up the good fight. F1 is waiting for news of when ur ready to return to us.
Schumacher didn't change only F1. He change sports, in general. He was a generation partner with so many great sportsmen. Woods, Ronnie, Loeb, Ahonen, Maier, Miller, Armstrong (at that time), Rossi, Williams and many other hedgemonies. But Michael stands on top, because F1 is such an exclusive sport. The hardest of all. He made it that way. With him, the glamour era of F1 ended briefly. He brought so many new things, beyound records. The way a sportsman has to train, has to speak, has to pay attention to politics of the game. If only just a driver, you might say, he was a role model for generations of people in, i think, every domain of human activity. The will to win, the will to be perfect, the will to go on that edge where you can hurt yourself and others, but you do not cross that thin line. Much more than a driver.

Im 53 and watched F1 since I was 7 y/o. When Murray Walker retired it was tough, like a bereavement. When Michael retired my love of F1 died with it, someone may equal what he did but they'll never be Michael Schumacher.
Best driver that ever raced formula 1. He is an absolute role model and a national hero of Germany. I was like 12 years old an this guy United the nation like it was football world cup. There was nothing like it again.
I my opinion the greatest, most complete F1 driver of all time. Ruthless and a cheat at times but really I think 1:55 shows his true character. His records will be broken but for those of us that were of age when he was at his best, we know he was and is still the greatest. How he drove that 96 Ferrari to three wins? only god knows.
I dont care what people say. Michael will always be the GOAT! Qualified P7 on his debut in a Jordan while replacing another driver (best qualifying result for Jordan that season) Went to Benetton (4th best team in the grid) and won two world titles with them (the first titles for Benetton ever in F1) Went to Ferrari (third best team at that moment while having contract proposals from the top teams like Williams and McLaren, but went to Ferrari instead) and became the face of the Italian brand by building his own team and helping mechanics by himself on his own car and giving Ferrari their first F1 titles in more than 20 years! He did something that no other driver has ever done before and did that TWICE! If Michael took the “easy” route, he would be a 10+ world champion easily.
He could have been close to 9/10 championships even in this way had things gone slightly differently. 1997 Ralf took him out in Argentina? 1998 DC taking him out from the lead in Spa, when Hakkinen had already retired. 1999 if he didn’t have that accident. If he stayed in Ferrari in 2007, 2008 he would be won another two championships. Michael has been the most talented driver in the last 30,40 years, I only see Max on that level, and Senna close too, but issue with Senna was his fitness and he couldn’t keep his performance up after the first 20/30 laps. 1992 Spain, Senna spins twice trying to catch up to Michael in his rookie year. Senna also tried to jump into great cars not really trying to build everything together, similar to Lewis really. Michael almost finishing runner up in his first full year. The guy was something else.
@@Grant80 Michael Schumacher is a multiple wc.. But he isn't Senna. During the 3 yrs competing Michael didn't get a single pole position. There's more to the story but I'll leave it at that. Be well
From ‘94 there was just something about Michael that I had to root for. Was devastated when he lost and in awe when he won. I miss him racing. Wonderful times
For me one of the best videos on YT. Highly emotional for me. I come here from time to time and enjoy the video again . Thank you for your work. Keep fighting, Michael ! You were my idol, the german that nobody could put down and make bad !
Never liked Schumacher. Hated the guy for always winning. Hated his chin and always wanted him to spin out. However...he may be the greatest driver in history of formula one and is loved and adored by people the world over. This is one race I want Schumacher to win. Don't give up Michael. You're the best.
For me as a German, Every Second of this Video takes me to my Childhood, every Weekend watching my Hero Michael Schumacher, thank you so much for this Honor to Michael. ❤ #KeepFightingMichael
despite being 11 years old now, this video still has relevance. schumi forever. he was the one that showed me that a german can be loved by the foreigners. for a german not a natural thing to experience back in the days.
I watched Michael when I was your age and he was and still is my hero. As an Englishman never thought of him as a German just a Legand. Vettel is good guy as well.
@@Cyberball2073 it has to be said, those two were exceptional ambassadors for germans and germany in the international world. and it makes me feel extremely happy to see an englishman "disrepecting the boarders" and seeing through the passport and spot the sportsman - in michaels case, as you say, a legend.
I've probably watched this almost 100 times and it still brings me to tears every time. Brings back so many memories of when I was a little kid watching Schumi with my parents. Absolutely fantastic video!
I just wanted to say how amazing and incredible it feels to see this video passing 2,400,000 views. I'm speechless. Thank you, for all the support, comments and likes for so many years. And as always, #KeepFightingMichael! 🙏
I can't really watch this right now - too emotional. Schumacher was my sporting hero throughout the late 90s and early 2000s. I watched every race of his championship seasons, and enjoyed every minute. Michael has given me more hours of enjoyment than just about any other human being. It's going to be a very anxious wait as so many things hang in the balance. I don't believe in any God, but if I did I'd sure as hell be praying.
The name of Michael Schumacher will always go hand in hand with my childhood, the most ideal period of one person's life. Being a kid and looking up to what he did, you see it differently. I watch F1 now for 25 years with barely 10 missed races in total and I cannot say I hold anyone in such a high regard as I hold him. Whenever he stepped on the track or spoke, people took notice, people listened. He was sheer power. Michael Schumacher. There is kind of vibration to that name. Here I am, 32y today, coming back for God knows which time back at this video, to relive that passion for the days he was racing through which it was installed in me too forever. In my subjective personal opinion, with all respect to all the greats before him, the GOAT!
I was a kid when I first heard the name Michael Schumacher. I've been into motorsports since I was a kid but I've especially been into F1. Just the way he raced was phenomenal
Man, I haven't watched this since I was 14 years old, not long before the accident. I wanted to be just like him, and still do. You're still in P1, Schumi.
"Your accident is now just another challenge. You have to fight hard again, just like we both used to do on the track," Hakkinen wrote in a letter published in German by Bild. Referring to his own serious head injury from a Formula One crash in Adelaide in 1995, Hakkinen said he survived "with the help of my family and the professional support of the doctors. I am sure you are getting the same kind of help." "Do me a favour: just this once don`t try to beat the clock. You don`t have to post your best time in this race. You have to take all the time you need," he said, signing off "Take it easy, Mika"....liebe dieses mann....
Thanks for all your nice comments and wishes to Michael! Hopefully he'll get well very soon! Just one thing - this video is a "career tribute", read the description and date of publishing (made in 2012) please! Thank you.

Everytime I say "Lewis is a great champion, he absolutely deserves 2 or 3 of his 7 titles! 4 or 5 has been earned by the greatest car in motorsport history" I get angry answers by his followers. But I believe, Schumi and Senna are gods of motorsport, like Michael Jackson and Freddie are gods of music. All others' are "just champions".
This still feels more complete than the Netflix documentary, which had really great points that gave me chills, but it misses the feeling of this video. If I had a time machine, I would just want to go back and watch this man all over again, and appreciate it more. The world, not just that of F1, is poorer for the loss of his presence since his accident 💛

Yesterday , one year ago... Forever Michael Schumacher ! I grew up with him , already watched Formula 1 with an age of only 4 years, born 1997. I've got so many wonderful memories because of Michael and also sad ones ( Suzuka 2006, motor damage). Thank you for your GREAT video, almost cried. I wish I could be a little child again and watching Michael flying around the track in his F2004 or fighting Alonso 2006 and having no worries about life. It seems to me as if it were yesterday, but it is already almost 10 years ago. I regret I didn't watch him racing in 2010-1012, and never saw him live :(
Started watching F1 with my dad probably as a toddler, but the first season I remember is 1984. I supported Prost as a child, but when Schumacher joined the grid in 1991 I immediately became a fan from his first day in F1 until his last. I'm too old to do any hero worshiping nowadays, so even though I'm a big fan of Max Schumi will always be my hero. I have watched the sport for over 40 years now, read many books about every era of F1 and watched many documentaries. With all of that, I have to say that the Greatest of all Time for me is and will always be Fangio. The best of all time I'm inclined to say now is Max with the things he's doing these days, but my Favorite driver will always be Schumacher. There's just something watching the sport as a teenager that hits differently from any other time in your life! #ForzaSchumi #KeepFightingChamp
Just re-watching the tribute after finishing the documentary on Netflix. Michael is truly the GOAT of F1, because he put every bit of himself & his personal life in order to succeed with Ferrari & fulfill the promise of getting a title with Ferrari. He never lost his faith in his abilities. I personally hope that we will see him again one day smiling at his son's achievements in F1. 🙏
Michael was special. Love him or hate him, his only focus was winning. Controversial, perhaps. With the current form of F1, will his records be surpassed, of course, but he will always be the GOAT!
Story time : I had seen Michael strolling down the pits with a Ferrari in 2006 at Monaco, and the memory will stay engraved in my mind for life. This man just breathes confidence and inspired me to become the person i am today, a person that nothing fazes. And even if i am in a wheelchair as of today i feel i am still as popular as before. That is how powerful he is.
Schumi, I know that you will never know about that guy who writes this. But you inspired him, you put him on a life path and you were his idol since childhood. I promise, I will never ever forget.. never forget. Please don't give up on us. #keepfightingmichael #prayforschumi

Still rememeber when he announced his first retirement in 2006. I was 6 years old at the time. I asked my father what that means that he is going to retire. It made no sense to me since Michael Schumacher and Formula 1 were synonymous for me. When i finally grasped the idea i started sobbing just as i am now with 21 years of age. Michael was my childhood hero❤️
Michael is the benchmark, full stop. And could anyone ever be more gracious than when he said he gives his championship to Ayrton. Fully recover and live long my friend. Thank you for uploading.
I was born in 1997 and I remember when I started watching F1 in the early 2000's. I was immediately enraptured by those exceptional machines (that looked and sounded almost alien to me) driven by those brave men. As a kid from Italy, Schumacher was obviously my beloved hero. I still remember watching the races after lunch and even early in the morning with my grandpa. My grandpa passed away 10 years ago and Schumi is in very bad conditions and probably will never be back with us again. I havent watched F1 since 2018 because it doesn't excite me anymore, I think the real F1 is basically gone forever. But I'm very thankful for these great childhood memories anyway
don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened. all best wishes to this childhood hero

This is not to say that he's not a good racing driver, but considering the Mercedes affiliation throughout his career, as well as being beater by less favoured Rosberg and Button, I don't think I could ever rate him in the top 5 unless he wins in another car or on equal footing as others did.

The truth about Schumacher needing his teammates to sign #2 driver contracts so they weren't allowed to beat compete against him on a level playing field has been leaked. His whole first career is based in a lie:
"At the time I handled people like Rubens Barrichello, Eddie Irvine, Giancarlo Fisichella and Jean Alesi, and every time we went to sign a contract with Michael Schumacher or Ferrari it always had conditions in it" - Eddie Jordon.
"Whether I signed with Eddie Irvine, Rubens Barrichello or whoever they were - there was a clause there that they always had to play second-fiddle to Michael Schumacher.' Eddie Jordan
"I had an opportunity to go to Ferrari but the contract that was offered by Jean was that if Michael was 5th and I was 4th, I had to move over, and, if I was 1st and he was 2nd, I had to move over.I couldn't sign a contract that committed me to being a #2" - David Coulthard.
The best!
Michael and Ayrton, the greatests.. Period.
❤🌠🇧🇷
Aryton Senna without Allen prost is incomplete
👏👏👏
The honest truth is Michael and Ayrton had an aura that nobody had, in modern F1 anyway... not even Lewis...

@@AZBCDEE you're a sad kid
@@AZBCDEE 👊😂😂😂
The best f1 driver of all time !!!
Michael, please don't die. Fight!
I was born too late to see Senna race, I was too young to appreciate Schumi. I didnt start following F1 untill 3 years ago.
I truly did.
I would not say he got what he deserved in 2013. No person should go through that.

I really wish Mick could watch this. I think he'd be happy.

So sad to not see his smile and true beauty.
I dont care what people say. Michael will always be the GOAT!
Qualified P7 on his debut in a Jordan while replacing another driver (best qualifying result for Jordan that season)
Went to Benetton (4th best team in the grid) and won two world titles with them (the first titles for Benetton ever in F1)
Went to Ferrari (third best team at that moment while having contract proposals from the top teams like Williams and McLaren, but went to Ferrari instead) and became the face of the Italian brand by building his own team and helping mechanics by himself on his own car and giving Ferrari their first F1 titles in more than 20 years!
He did something that no other driver has ever done before and did that TWICE!
If Michael took the “easy” route, he would be a 10+ world champion easily.
My Hero forever
If he went to Mclaren or william, he will already be 5 time champion before 2000. Michael is goat after ayrton senna
@@randyarman5978 Shut Up, fucker. Michael is the GOAT.
❤
That's beautiful, and shows how inspirational he is! Nice words.
Your passion for this sport is enormous. I am left speechless with your bold description for your affection towards F1 racing. God bless you.
Thank you so so much!
Schumi, I know that you will never know about that guy who writes this. But you inspired him, you put him on a life path and you were his idol since childhood. I promise, I will never ever forget.. never forget. Please don't give up on us.

+Antonín Vávra I Do agree with you 110%, Michael has been my idol and rolemodel in life since i was 5, and know i am 26, still i do think about him every day, and i know that all we need to give him is time, and he will be back to a life worth living, when he is ready.

Thank you for watching
Whatch Michael is like to see one of my family. You will be' forever the best F1 driver of all times. Good luck Michael ❤
I can relate to that! Beautifully said.
The Most Successful Driver of all time..."MICHEAL SCHUMACHER"
Devi guardare la Formula 1 per te e per tuo nonno!!! Vai!
@@giorgiodonati5361 ormai la formula 1 di adesso non mi appassiona più granchè
Keep fighting Michael 😢
You are my hero since I watched F1.
You are number one and you will stay number one.
When I was little I always supported Michael Schumacher and Ferrari #getwellsoonmichael
