I had to use medium textures for RTX 3060 TI at 1440p resolution as we are VRAM limited, but the rest of the settings are on ultra. Anyway, the last of us just got an AMD FSR3 update, and it's not that impressive. There's a noticeable pixelation and shimmering issue with the frame generation even at native resolution, and if you ask me, I still prefer DLSS quality mode with custom settings rather than using frame generation in this game!

some say using frame gen with vsync helps the smoothness, even though it increases latency . do you think a stable 75-80 fps without frame gen is a better experience compared to frame gen + vsync?
native frames without frame generation are always a much better experience!

for me it is important to have more fps in 1620p dldsr and I only play in 60fps

For me it's the same and I used native in 1 place and I put mod and now the official one and I didn't see any difference and I can increase the dpi as many times as I want with my mouse

They took so many months just to add the broken FSR 3 update. No optimization on shader compilation or CPU optimization.

Pc gaming downgraded, people buy expensive cards to play upscaled game
I mean.. they don’t make them like they used to. The companies aren’t going to keep hammering on h/w when they are creating tools to pump out that performance on the cheap.
AI is their future, not raster for gamers.

Fsr 3 frame gen is not well implemented in this game, Avatar Frontiers of Pandora did a way better job of implementing frame gen. Hell even the fsr 3 mod looks better than the official implementation.
