I turned my granddaughter’s newborn hospital cap/beanie into a pumpkin a few years ago using the same method. I finished mine with a green ribbon tied around the top for a stem and leaves. Mimi’s little pumpkin 🎃🧡 An adorable keepsake!
Very cool! I love how you clearly explained, step by step and had No Crappy background music playing. So many people think that an instructional video is, somehow incomplete without it, and most is just annoying noise that you have to try to ignore! Thank you! 😃⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thank you Tom! Yes I like it to be as clear as possible. I do have music in other videos, so it was good to hear your feedback. Take care and happy crafting! Elizabeth
@A Well Purposed Woman Yes, bay leaf is a natural pest control. My mother taught me to put a piece of the leaf on shelves of kitchen cabinets and pantry to keep out weevils.
My first time seeing your channel this morning; very nice! I would want something in the bottom that could withstand hand washing (we have a dusty area here), maybe small pebbles or something. I can see this idea in a patchwork design...it would look SO cute!!
Glad to see you using real stems.....I have my neighbors obsessed with giving me theirs at the end of the season whereby I tear off all fake plastic stems and use the real deal. It’s a game changer on faux pumpkins.
I love these pumpkins so much! My kids teacher's are always looking for cute easy projects for their Halloween day, I'm going to send this video to my 5th grade kid teacher!
Use sand or something non-edible for the weight. I learned from experience that rice and beans attract bugs and rodents, no matter how well you store them.

How do you make the kind with different patterns on one pumpkin? These are so cute...I saw these the other day at Walmart...but this is cheaper than buying! So cute and good project for me and my kids.
Thank you! I use a pattern with two different fabrics, I was working on a video like that. I will try to post it when I have it. Thank you! Happy Crafting! Elizabeth

It's quicker if you weave your needle in, out, in, out then pull. In, out, in, out pull. Very cute and great instruction.
Yes! I have started doing this. So quick! Thanks for the tip! 💗 Elizabeth

I hate background music!!! Won't watch any videos that have it.
I like this idea, used a bay leaf in each to keep bugs out, even in sand.
That’s an interesting idea. Does the bay leaf keep them away? Elizabeth

I have a bag of socks waiting for a new repurposed life. You have now given the socks a new start. Thanks.

Good tip! I have heard this from several others. Thanks for sharing! Elizabeth
I have used aquarium gravel - the kind that is polished - for amigurumi dolls. Works great and is inexpensive!
Tip. Keep a bold of ice water close by..put fingers on asap if glue gets on..
Cinnamon sticks cute and clever.
Good to know because we live in a buggy area!
