NWR Tales S6 Ep.11: Slow Down, Gordon!

- Sorry for the long wait. I was awaiting the script for this episode but anyway here it is!
Please note: If people are thinking that I've copied WNWR3D's plot ‘Swan Song’, I hadn't seen that video in years and forgot all about the plot and I’ve written this story purely as a coincident.
Ever wonder why Gordon is not pulling the express anymore? Except on a few occassions. Well here is your answer. The Fat Controller bought Pip and Emma, the HST power units to run the express. Gordon was jealous and was keen to show that he still have years left in him pulling the express until something unfortunate happened.
Watch out for my season finale episode on Christmas eve next month, which is the annual Christmas special!
An impressive story. This looks like it was inspired by Christopher Awdry's story 'Thomas & the Swan'. But I enjoyed it and Gordon and Pip got to interact with each other again.

What an uplifting story! I like the message behind it too: "Accept the changes in life" keep it up mate!
Perhaps also, “accept that aging happens and try to take it gracefully.”
While I will admit that this had similarities to Swan Song, there are differences too. After all, we had no "Gordon and Pip arguing" conflict in WNWR's version XD
Besides, this is a concept that I like. Nothing lasts forever, and imagine what it would be like if they had Pip and Emma take over the express in the actual TV Show.
Another great episode, you really do a great job and keep in with the tradition of the awdry's

Apart from some loud sound effects and music, this was a really interesting story to watch!
ThomasFan2002 I blame my mic for that. I think it’s starting to become weak, hence why the audio isn’t as good as it was three years ago. Thanks though!

That was certainly a very good story
I enjoyed this. I especially like all the little touches you put in, like Donald & Douglas passing while looking horrified. Had some good moments, too. "Local train coming through" gave me a chuckle.
The Fat Controller's words about Gordon's scarcity didn't do much to temper his ego, did they? :-)

There's a few differences. One notable one is that in my episode, it's *Gordon's idea* to bring Pip and Emma in.

I Didn't know Gordon could make Dark green Steam?
It was the effect, like as you said it was black smoke to showcase the hot box problem.
Trainz does some funny things with colour when it gets close to jet black. Namely, it starts to turn the colour green. That's why my black models are really just a very dark grey. It also helps the details stand out.
Bittersweet to see Gordon become local, as opposed to the primary express. Good to see him retire, more or less.

Am I the only one who can barely hear the narration over the sound effects and music ? If not is there any chance you could turn them down because I have to listen out for the actual story which gets annoying :)
Harry Williams I tried everything I can to make the narration as audible I could. I tried turning down the SFX and music but not to the point where there is none at all. I believe it’s the recording quality of my microphone and I’m in hopes of a new one in the new year.
I love how Gordon explains how Pip and Emma became part of the NWR in this story. in this version of events would their taking over the express have anything to do with the sexist complaints made by people over the years? I hope that's all right if I ask that question
