B&G Fire protection in the house, We service a lot of restaurants in OC and can’t stress enough how important it is for hood cleaning. Thanks for the video, keep them coming!!
My husband & I stumbled upon your channel and are so happy we did! We have been vacationing in OCMD for 20+ years and recently pulled the trigger on a vacation home right over the line in Delaware (Selbyville) so we long for all things OCMD! We are enjoying your videos and your fun facts so much! You’re a wealth of knowledge! Thank you!! (Btw…I decided if I’m ever on Who wants to be a Millionaire - you’re definitely my phone a friend! Just saying! 🤣) Thanks so much for all the fun videos of our favorite vacation spot! Hoping our paths cross someday! P.S. Thank you for your service! 🇺🇸
Thanks Theresa!! Congrats on your new vacation home! I'm right down the street in Ocean Pines. I'm sure we will eventually cross paths, Ocean City is a very small town. Can't thank you enough for watching my videos and hope the warm weather comes soon!
Thanks Jay!! Another informative video!! Sad to see Phillips though, both of them. Another big hotel downtown? Man as if parking down there wasn’t crazy already! I hope the Harbor Inn reopens, that’s my favorite bar in OC along with MR Ducks.
I need to come back to watch the whole thing but I'm watching the whole Embers/Pier 23 develop. Your older video with Pier 23 was cool. We drive by all the time but haven't poked in like you did.
Many years ago I remember listening to an interview with the Seacrets owner, he was saying he wanted to be "self sufficient". I'd say he's doing a darn good job at it.
Right now it's only Saturdays and Sunday's, I honestly can't remember when they change back to their weekly schedule. I bet someone watching will know. Thanks for watching my video!
We saw the “That’s Right” boat in Islamorada then in OCMD funny you mentioned it. You forgot to show Pure Lure they have great clothes. Thank you for the update love seeing what’s going on
OC does an excellent job trying to keep the same "theme" and allow changes but still keep the same feel. Berlin is an awesome place to live...quiet yet still close to the beach.
Great updates. Do you remember a place that was on the boardwalk in the 80's/90's called Chat St.? If so, do you have any old pictures or newspaper articles about this place, thanks.
Wandered through Shanty Town back in August 01, there ain’t a trace of it anymore. We are frequent OC guests, looking to make the move there full time, and it’s amazing how things can change in a short time. As long as my wife can get shells at Assateague Island, she is satisfied
Hello. We love visiting OCMD and appreciate the information you provide. We have been hearing they are working on bringing Margaritaville to the old Phillips-owned hotels on the Boardwalk. Is there any truth to that?
I just saw your boardwalk tube and you mentioned this. Thank you ;-). I did see that the project is back on and was hoping that was correct. I knew you would know.
Ashley and I were talking about it today as we walked by it filming our newest video. They didn't start work yet, but the old property is looking pretty rough. I believe they will be starting soon on it.
I'm surprised how fast all that snow melted. How's that snow mound ( or should I say mountain?)in the inlet? I'm surprised they just didn't dump it in the ocean. It's going to get there anyway. When are they going to remove all that scrap wood? I would be concern driving in that parking lot fearing of getting a flat tire.
The snow was here today gone tomorrow! In no time it was gone. The mounds at the inlet parking lot are HUGE! My wife and I were talking about it today.....they are going to take months to melt. We were also wondering why they didn't just dump it in the ocean. Scrap would I think will be gone soon, they are working on the last portion near the Life Saving Station. But all those snow mountains are going to create a problem for parking.
@@ReelJayB Do you know what happened to the stucture above the Life Saving Station? The camera is still there but the building is gone. Didn't know if was going through a renovation process?
I believe it was turned into The Big Easy on 60, a new Orleans style restaurant. That closed as well and is now a clothing boutique store and something else (I can't seem to remember right now).
Used to eat at all 3 Phillip Restaurants in Ocean City. After two were sold started going down hill. After the parents died scum bag son got caught selling crab from dirty communist China. Also heard he built himself a very large house in Florida. So many great restaurants in OC. Wish that Trashers French Fries offered ketchup for their great fries. Stopped going there for that reason. Love Fagers Island restaurant especially at sunset when they play 1812 overture but last 3 times we were there food was so so and they ruined the old style of island fries.
It was sad seeing the Phillips customer line dwindle over the years. I remember lines around the block....towards the end there was hardly any line. You are absolutely right about the Fagers sunset, it's amazing!
@@ReelJayB So right on long lines at Phillips years ago. Used to go upstairs to the all you could eat when kids were in high school then with only me & the wife ate sit down meals in first floor. One year during off season and a slow night the very nice waitress came over and talked to us for a few minutes. Found out she was working there to pay her way thru a tough expensive college. I seldom send a compliment or complaint but she was the very best waitress we every had so I sent Phillips an email and you would think during off season they would have time to thank me for sending a compliment. Think playboy son had corporate headquarters in Florida at that time. Amazing how many very successful business go under once the children take over.
@@ReelJayB The manager at the motel we stay out twice a year said they would go to Phillips a few times a year but stopped once they heard that scum bags started swapping out Best in class MD crabs with dirty lack of quality control lying cheating china. Think I would eat made in USA dog food before I consumed any food made in china. Every Easter getting harder to find jelly beans ( & candy canes for Christmas ) for the grandkids Easter baskets made in USA. Refuse to eat any food made in dirty Mexico. Hershey took over a thousand tax paying jobs from USA to Mexico.
Some will say for insurance, maybe in the past that happened. I honestly believe because of the lack of maintenance and these buildings are very old. But who really knows...
P.S. are you sure J1's got their visas? J1'S need housing really bad? Wrong. Y/R residents and Y/R workers of OC need affordable housing and deserve it; moreso than J1'S
Affordable housing has been difficult for everyone here. Rental rates went up, the market boom last year had many selling. There are at least 2 to 3 retail places adding apartments above them to house employees because it's been so difficult.
But J1s actually work face it... Most Americans are currently "Unemployed" lol... Every where you look is in need of staff.. Americans don't want to work. Make America Great Again.

very cool. so many memories from the 80's: Back of the Rack, The Paddock, Brass Balls, Bull on the Beach, Green Turtle, BJ's, Carousel Club .........

Thanks a ton for watching!!! Really appreciate it....now the weather just needs to warm up!
Thank you for the updates on OC. Have been going there since I was 14 and now in my 70s.
I'm sure you've seen a lot of changes in OC over the years! My father in law is your age, his stories are wild!
Captains Galley went almost every year and requested our same server every year Shelly. What a dearheart. Miss you Shelly.
Thanks for the updates. Looking forward to spring for sure.
Same here! Can't wait for spring and warmer weather.
I really hope I get down there this year I need some thrashers fries!! And some beautiful weather!
Last year as everywhere (especially with the J1 students) the issue was having enough staff. Hope things turn this year.
Thanks. I've been watching some of your other videos and enjoying them. One thought...can you give street numbers when you do a tour like this?
Thanks Scott! I guess street numbers would be good, right?! Haha I'll of course try to remember next time. Thanks for watching!
Great stuff, Jay! Much appreciated.

About the Harbor Inn, I saw on their Facebook page that they are going to reopen for the season next month.
