    Very nice video ! And i agree ,to brake down your stuff. You are free and everything is so handy. I think we can feel the nature more with a smaller stuff. Thank you for the message of this perfect video my friend.

    Great video Wayne. Really like that new Take Down saw you made. I like making my own gear where feasible as well. I can completely relate to the frustration you feel with wanting to get out in the bush but having renovation work to get on with. As you said though....priorities. Thanks for sharing. Take care, friend.

      Thanks so much my friend...I love making my own gear when I can, I feel it's a big part of bushcraft being crafty 👍

    Hello my friend, Everytime when I sell a bunch of "old"outdoor gear I feel great and want to go back to basic outdoors, And then it begins , ohyeah I need this for that outing and I need that because the last one was broken etc lol !! I am still looking for the perfect set of gear but I can't find it. I believe it is because everytime I want to go outdoors I want to go different, old school , modern , primitive or wit luxury hahaha. Never ending story here !! Nice saw and video my friend All the best Martin.

      I think you're right we always seem to need something but I want to make a good effort and try to tone it down !! As back to basics as possible

    Hahaha yeah I have been whittling down my stuff over the last few years. I also have a clean out every few months. It's amazing how little you need and how much crap you accumulate over time. I just replace something when it wears out now and if I see something that looks nice I ask myself do I really need this and is it going to be beneficial for me hahaha :) It's great that you have plenty of wildlife looking forward to some wildlife video's ;).
    Take care. Craig

    Wow, nice job on the bucksaw. Been on my to-do list for a while...I hear you on the gear... been hoarding my stuff for too long...need to start paring things down a bit. So, when is the house warming???

    • @highlandtrekker
      @highlandtrekker  8 років тому

      Ya I was looking online for a buck saw but the cheapest one i could find would of still cost close to $80.00 to $100.00 Cnd so decided to make one myself. Made a 21" and a 24" and they turned out pretty good. Lol...as for the house warming party it will have to wait a few more weeks until all the renovations are done !!. Are you ready for our big storm ?

      +Adventure Time Outdoors To be completely honest it's just the traditional feel...for sure the boreal 21 is much more practical saw 👍👍
