- As Dusk Falls is that one super stylized game that has appeared in the last few Xbox Showcases. It is an interactive narrative game, similar to The Quarry, Heavy Rain, Night Trap, Dragons Lair, and Façade. Remember Façade? Xplay remembers. But can narrative solely carry a game alone? That is what The Black Hokage sets out to uncover in this review of INTERIOR/NIGHT's As Dusk Falls.
As Dusk Falls is an original interactive drama from INTERIOR/NIGHT that explores the entangled lives of two families across thirty years. Starting in 1998 with a robbery-gone-wrong in small town Arizona, the choices you make have a powerful impact on the characters’ lives in this uncompromising story of betrayal, sacrifice and resilience.

Out of all the narrative pick-your-own-adventure games I've played, this one had the most different paths you could take with vastly different endings depending on them. My girlfriend and I had completely different endings, one of my characters died halfway but for her that character was there until the very end
Yeah this and Detroit become human both probably have the most paths you're able to take, def check that out if you haven't! I love decision based games, I've literally played all of them that I know of haha
Good review, I would also point out that it does have some great accessibility features to help with the qte
I love how creative the videos from Xplay have been, really great stuff.
Great now I wanna play the Quarry AND this now lol. Love the integrated multiplayer aspect of this.
This was a fun title. These games are short but the impact on decisions can be felt and may not pan out to what the player wants. It's really refreshing to play these titles!

Awesome story, subtly great soundtrack, and most importantly, fantastic characters who I became very connected to. The narrative choice element is great and allows the player to direct the story towards the consequences / endings that are most satisfying to them. The art style and lack of gameplay aren’t for everyone, but they didn’t bother me.
This is an awesome game, so terribly under-appreciated.

@@alexwalters35 I beat both of those, you are right. Phantasmagoria is cheesy... but it felt special when it released and is a definite classic. Roberta and Ken are back at it, this time they made a VR Adventure title called Collossal Cave 3D.

this game was amazing to me. I loved every second of it. the choices , the art style, Xbox really knocked it out of the park with this one. I felt the same way about Tell Me Why. both are heavily narrative driven and really blew my mind with their story.
Games really fun with a group.
It would be awesome if you could actually play it on gamepass.
